'Cross the universe, there's no place too far
Yeah, wherever you are, you and me
Thick as thievesIt was dangerously quiet back at the Sanctum. And dark. We deactivated the nanosuits, but I held my bow in place. "Doctor..." Peter began until a roar scared us from behind.
"Oh, shit!" I yelled, a light arrow of mine landing in the dark. And I mentally thanked the universe when I realized it was caged. Then I saw the Octopus Man from before in a similar cell, just to the right. There was some kind of moldable, invisible barrier blocking their escape.
When something else touched Peter's shoulder, he yelped and grasped me for support. "Be careful what you wish for, Parker," Strange announced. Damn, he knows how to make such an ominous entrance.
"Let me out of here!" the villain we came with pleaded.
Out of breath, my boyfriend asked: "Can you please explain to us what is going on?"
I sternly pointed at the scaly green creature, my bow dissipating in the air. "And what the hell is that?!"
"That little spell that you botched where you wanted everyone to forget that Peter Parker is Spiderman, it started pulling in everyone who knows Peter Parker is Spiderman, from every universe into this one."
"From every universe?"
However, I was more shocked at the duality of the villains surrounding us. "So does that mean Peter knows a lizardman in at least another universe?"
Ignoring both the Octopus and mine's crisis, Doctor Strange brought us together. "I think it's better if we don't engage with him, because, frankly, the Multiverse is a concept about which we know frighteningly little."
Peter's eyes shot wide open. "The multiverse is real?"
Mysterio... was kinda right? I felt my heart twisting in the same excitement from months ago when the news was first laid out to me. "This time it's not a prank?"
"This shouldn't even be possible," the sorcerer muttered.
Despite the commotion, there was a missing puzzle piece that I couldn't quite picture yet. Peter voiced my concern. "But I thought you stopped the spell?"
"No, I contained it, but it would appear that a few of them squeaked through. After you left, I detected an otherworldly presence. I pursued it into the sewers, where I found that... slimy, green son of a gun."
It snarled in our direction... as well as the man in black's confusion. "Spell? Is it magic? What is this, a birthday party? Who is this clown? Or this? What is this madness?"
"Watch this." The wizard spun at a 90-degree angle. "Do you know a Peter Parker who is Spiderman?"
"Yes."
He pointed at my boyfriend. "Is that him?"
The man seemed very offended by the question. "No."
"And do you know her? (Y/n) Lang? Or a Killer Bee?"
"No."
Does that mean I don't exist in another universe? Or is it that Peter doesn't know me? I don't know which one's worse.
"See? Okay, here's what we gotta do. I don't know how many of these... visitors we got—"
"We saw another one. On the bridge."
"He was like a... like a flying green elf. Nothing like Will Ferrell on Elf, though," I gladly added.
The doctor clasped his hands together. "Well, he sounds jolly. Why don't you start with him? I need you to capture them and bring them here, while I figure out how to get them back before they destroy the fabric of reality, or worse, Wong finds out."
