There's a room at the end of the world
Where I'll wait for you tonight
Where the roads all go to end
Where lost valentines get sent
Where the rose comes back to life
Where young love never dies
Where we never said goodbyeDespite all the chaos ensuing from the fight, I couldn't help but observe the violet cracks in the sky. If you squinted, you could perceive white shadows of people of all different sizes, a combination of friends and enemies of Spiderman in endless universes. It made you feel powerful and the size of an ant in the same glimpse.
Doctor Strange, while standing on the Statue of Liberty's torch, cast a containment spell of sorts. When I finally took off my mask, I finally tasted the blood on my face and sensed my hair levitate because of the electricity.
Ned arrived in a blaze of glory, his body being levitated downward by Dr. Strange's cloak. "Thank you, Mr. Cape, sir," he said to the object despite it being nonsentient.
"Ned!" I sprinted toward him in a hug.
He turned around at the sound of my voice. "(Y/n)!" MJ joined us not long after.
"MJ! Ned! (Y/n)!" Peter yelled. He had landed on what had remained of Captain America's shield.
"Peter?"
"Are you okay?"
"We're okay," MJ confirmed.
Peter took a deep breath in relief. And I couldn't help but smile. Somehow, we had survived hell and more through the years. And if I wasn't so tired I would've run and kissed him right then and there.
Nonetheless, the moment of peace didn't last. My bruised and bloodied boyfriend stopped when he noticed a remaining person standing. The Green Goblin wasn't even close to being cured yet. Peter turned to him in anger, hate, and all the pent-up harsh emotions from all the previous fights.
The Goblin took off his goggles. "Poor Peter. Too weak... to send me home to die," he mocked.
Spiderman crouched into position, a similar shadow of the man I loved taking his place. "No... I just wanna kill you myself."
He grimaced in victory. "Attaboy."
The second they began fighting, I sprinted to aid, but a force pulled me back. Well, to be more specific, it was a dagger being thrust into my back. An arm wrapped around my chest flew me and the person carrying me toward the clouds. "(Y/n)!!" Ned screamed in worry.
"Forgot about me, Honeycomb?" (Y/n) Lawrence hissed in my ear. She pulled her dagger back into her grasp and let me fall the remaining distance to the higher floor we had landed on.
"Fuck that hurts!" I groaned as I squirmed on the floor. The pain finally kicked in. She definitely hurt my lungs because I couldn't control my breathing anymore.
"Why the long face?" she faked in sympathy.
With one hand pushing my ribs so I wouldn't bleed out, I shakily stood up. Like Peter, rage was blinding me. "You should... I'll kill you! You don't deserve the title of Killer Bee!"
We began fighting, but my lack of strength was evident in my punches. She dodged my hits with no problem and quickly won the upper hand.
She grabbed my jaw with her fingers. "I'm just a more aware version of you. See, while you're busy trying to save everyone without even getting a thank you, you should really be saving your own glory. Like, you don't really believe they care about you... do you? Your friends? Your parents? Cassie? That... Stark dude? Peter?! NO! THEY'VE NEVER CARED ABOUT US! AND THEY NEVER WILL!"
