Jennie woke up early in the morning to prepare for her meeting.

It was still five in the morning so she decided to do some Yoga before taking a shower. She then donned on a white blouse, paired with a black dress pants and a black blazer. She chose to let her hair fall loosely on her shoulders instead of tying them up. After putting on some light make-up and spraying her signature scent, she was certain that she was presentable for the meeting.

By the time she was done, it was already seven in the morning. Jennie didn't waste any more time in her room and went downstairs to have her breakfast. However, to her surprise, Lili was already at her home and was even setting the table for breakfast for her.

"Ehem..." Jennie announced her presence, silently cursing that it was still too early to call the agency to inform them that she would like to have Lili replaced. Jennie maintained a calm demeanor as she sat down at the dining table.

Seeing that Lili hadn't act like he was familiar with her from the time they met last night until now, she assumed that he must not have recognized her. If he was working as an escort, it was only reasonable for him not to remember her. This man must have served a lot of women before, she thought to herself before she started to eat what Lili had prepared for her.

Lili had made an all English breakfast with toast, bacon, sausages and mushrooms. Jennie began to wonder if cooking was something that Lili acquired to please his customers. However, she quickly dispelled that thought. She made a mental note to get Irene to call the agency after Lili drop her off at LM Capital's office later.

"Where is Irene.. my secretary?" she asked the man who was silently eating across her. For some reason, Jennie's eyes were instantly glued to Lili's white shirt. Since he was cooking earlier, he must have taken off his blazer. A few buttons from the top of his shirt were opened, revealing a little of his chest.

Jennie's face quickly turned into a frown. 'This man must be trying to seduce me,' she quickly thought. She steeled herself to ignore him. This would be his last day anyway. If it was any other man, Jennie would not have been this affected. But the resurfaced memories of the past and the thoughts she had last night had somehow changed the way her brain usually functioned.

"Uhh... Miss Bae left this for you." Lisa handed a brown folder to Jennie. "I met her when I was about to go inside. She said that she was sorry that she will not be able to accompany you to the meeting today as her mother had an accident and she needed to stay by her mother's side until her sister arrives from Busan. But she promised to be here tomorrow morning. She also said that she couldn't reach your phone or else she would have told you all these personally."

"Damn," Jennie almost face palmed. She had actually forgotten to charge her phone. She was so engrossed in her thoughts last night that she slept without charging her phone!

"Is there a problem?" he asked.

"Nothing. Just remind me to bring a charger before we leave," she said before shoving another mouthful of bacon in her mouth out of frustration. According to her grandmother's philosophy, being attracted to a good-looking man could bring you both happiness and trouble. A woman should either stay away from good-looking men or make one of them hers. Her maternal grandmother's love story was a shining example of how she snagged herself a prince.

However, given that this Lili used to be an escort, marrying him is not an option. She could only stay away from the man.

Moreover, the past would also complicate matters should they get into a relationship in the future. After all, Jennie had already lost their unborn child before.

As a prominent businesswoman, she had seen her fair share of good-looking men. She believed that she had already formed an immunity to good-looking men and would not be easily flustered. Moreover, she was already 27 years old for crying out loud! She was not even a virgin and she had already experienced a lot of things in life. But, because of her past, she chose to avoid good-looking men like a plague. At the present, Jennie found the situation with this man a little complicated.
