Unfortunately, Lisa underestimated the persistence of his parents.
The moment he arrived in the LM Capital, Lisa already knew that something was amiss. When he walked inside his office, his face immediately contorted into an ugly scowl.
"Who are you?" He already knew the answer to his question. "Who let you in?" By now, Lisa already guessed that they have people inside his company. He strode towards his seat with Sehun in tow.
"Lisa..." the woman called out.
"I think we should introduce ourselves." The man said. "Right now, I go by the name Jingwu and this is my wife Dae Un. I knew her as Chittip."
Lisa sat on his leather chair as Sehun sat across the couple.
"It is a pleasure to finally meet you," Jingwu said. "Both of you."
"I suppose there is a reason you came out now?" Lisa asked. A gleam of surprise immediately flashed in his mother's eyes. His bluntness was a surprise to both of them.
"I think it is not fair for you to lash out on us now." His father said. "We have our own reasons for not revealing ourselves. I hope you would understand that."
"So why reveal yourself now?" Lisa did not budge.
"Because I think it is finally time for us to get back what they took from us." His father said.
"What do you mean?" Sehun asked.
"Turn on the news." His mother said. In response, Sehun opened his tablet and started browsing for the latest news. While Lisa just stared blankly at them.
"You announced that you are alive?" Sehun asked, his eyebrow raised.
"Yes. I will have an interview tonight, in a popular TV show." His father said. "Another conference tomorrow is coming as well." He added.
"Why?" Lisa stared at his mother briefly before looking at his father. "Why now?" He was skeptical about this whole announcement. The questions in his mind started popping up.
"We figured you needed our help. Let us deal with them. You focus on looking for her." His mother's soft voice made him silent. For a brief moment, guilt flashed in her eyes as her gaze wavered. She lowered her head and avoided Lisa's gaze.
"We also... We also have some information that could help you." His father handed a flash drive to Sehun. "Check it. It will show you some of the deadliest enemies that the Arison's have for the past years. Maybe they can help you with something."
Sehun passed the flash drive to Lisa
"There is also... another matter that we would like to discuss." Her mother said.

"What do you mean? You can't just cancel the contract just because you want to." Dongfang Jin scowled at Zhou Kang. "And I did not kill that politician! The truth will come out soon! And once it does... the company will bounce back! I can assure you that!"
Zhou Kang smiled in response. "So you think... your PR team's efforts are enough for this? Jin, we all know that there is no coming back from this. You will lose the confidence of your board of directors soon and... that cousin of yours..."
"No! I can assure you! There is no way that he will..." Dongfang Jin's words were interrupted when his secretary, who was waiting outside, hastily walked inside the meeting room. He then leaned towards Dongfang Jin and whispered something in his ears.
Slowly, Dongfang Jin's brows knitted into a frown, then a smile dangled into his face. "I see..." he then gestured for the secretary to leave him as he looks at Zhou Kang. "I guess... I will just allow you to cancel the contract."
