June 21st, Tuesday - 7th day
Jennie woke up with a splitting headache. She immediately clutched her head before snuggling deeper into Lisa's arms.
True to his words, Lisa didn't do anything to her last night. He merely hugged her to sleep after he was done giving Jennie a head massage. In fact, Jennie was so tired that she actually fell asleep while Lisa was giving her a head massage. His techniques were too good ah.
Lisa's assurance last night was very much needed. She gradually felt less awkward towards the man. Their first night together wasn't too bad. Though her head was still throbbing, she could not deny that her heart felt a little lighter. She was happier.
"Sleep some more, I will make a soup that will help to relieve your headache. I will call you once it's ready." She heard him say.
"Hmmm... what time is it?" she asked, her eyes still half-closed and her head still resting on Lisa's arm like his arm was a pillow.
"Almost one in the afternoon," said Lisa a matter-of-factly.
"You didn't wake me up! I have lots of meetings today." Jennie immediately jolted up and hastily got out of the bed.
"You were snoring... and drooling too... how could I disturb you when you are like that?" Jennie ignored Lisa as she ran towards the bathroom. She would only snore or drool if she was very tired, alright?!
Jennie took a quick shower and then called Irene up to her apartment. Since she was not in office for a few days, Jennie had a lot of things to do today.
"Here are today's stock market rates...You also have a meeting at three with the internal board of directors of A.R Mall and Boutique. Lawyer Yan also called me earlier, he said that he has received a copy of your marriage certificate and he will be able to process the paperwork to transfer the late Old Master Kim's land deeds over to your name. He said that he will bring the papers to you once everything is finalized." Irene took a pause to look at Jennie, who was eating her breakfast with President Manoban. The latter kept adding food into his wife's bowl.
"Continue," Jennie said while taking another mouthful of food.
"Alright. The design for the new Harmony Isle is already done. It needs your approval. Mr. Kim had also sent a bunch of dresses for you to wear to Fashion Week's final show and after-party. He said and I quote 'These are specially designed with love for Jennie Kim.'"
"Were you the one who sent our marriage certificate to Lawyer Yan?" Jennie asked Lisa . She couldn't think of any other plausible explanation of how the lawyer came to know about her marriage.
"Of course." He smiled. "Don't worry, I've asked him to keep our marriage a secret from the Kim family. I know that you are still not ready to announce our marriage."
"Actually... I don't mind letting people know that we are married." Jennie was quick to answer. She was thankful for Lisa's thoughtfulness but she also knew that the man would love to let the whole world know about their marriage. Moreover, Jennie was not really intending to hide her own marriage ah. She just wanted to keep the news about their marriage as low-key as possible.
"Really?" Lisa beamed.
Jennie nodded earnestly before she turned to Irene, "Give me the complete details of the Internal Directors for A.R Mall and Boutique. I need them before the meeting later."
"Got it, President." Irene nodded. Jennie then informed Irene that they would be moving into Sky City later in the day. Jennie also told Irene that she and the two directors would also be moving into Sky City when their apartment is ready. In the meantime, they would continue to stay put here.
