The nurse paled even more when she heard Jennie's intimidating words. Akane told her that Jennie was just some random girl that the boss had picked up and that without Boss around, she wouldn't have the guts to act all high and mighty. So what was this situation about now?
"I will go to Lisa now and take care of him," she declared before turning to the two men who stayed behind Seulgi. "Don't let that woman leave. Make sure to interrogate her properly and find out who asked her to detain me," she ordered coldly. Since the nurse had the intention to detain her, Jennie thought that someone might be after Lisa's life. Or why else would they want her to stay away from him?
"Seulgi, bring me to him."
Seulgi immediately led the way. When they returned to the resort earlier, they were brought to a different villa than the one Jennie and Lisa stayed in the first night. This villa was located deep inside the resort, away from the other commercial villas. This villa was designed like a traditional japanese house, with sliding doors and papered walls. Jennie guessed that this should be the place where Lisa stayed before he left Japan.
The villa was very beautiful but Jennie didn't have the mind to appreciate anything right now as her heart was full of worry. She believed that the attack tonight must be from Lisa's enemies. Jennie turned her head to address Seulgi, "I want you to get your men to secure this villa. There should be a record of everyone who enters and leaves the house - their names, time and purpose of the visit." She made a deliberate pause. "How is his condition right now?" she asked.
"President Manoban is stable. He had a blood transfusion and now we just have to wait for him to wake up," Seulgi answered. "Miss Kim, if you don't mind me asking, why do we have to keep a physical record of everyone who enter and leave the villa? We have CCTVs all around the villa..."
"Someone wanted Lisa's life." What Jennie said made Seulgi widened his eyes.
"Miss Kim... I-"
"What happened tonight was not an accident. Someone is trying to harm him. However, I don't want you to stir the grass and startle the snake. For now, just say this is all part of the new security protocol. It's easy to cheat the CCTVs anyway," she explained.
Seulgi nodded in agreement. Inwardly, he was celebrating ah. Miss Kim really cared for the President. He really could not wait to report these things to President Manoban once he is awake.
After a few more turns, they finally arrived in front of Lisa's room. Seulgi slide the door open and immediately frowned at the scene in front of him.
Besides the doctor, the Ito siblings were also here. Akane was crying dramatically as she listened to the doctor's words, like a dutiful wife.
"Who gave you the right to update them President Manoban's current condition?" Seulgi asked in a cold tone. Knowing that there were others in the room, Jennie had remained outside and did not enter the room with Secretary Kang as she wanted to observe how the situation in the room would play out.
"Mr. Kang... I," the doctor stuttered. "Mr. Riku had been around Mr. Manoban for years so I thought..."
"You are wrong. Mr. Manoban is a very private person. He wouldn't want his doctor to casually divulge his medical records to others. As a doctor, you should understand the importance of patient confidentiality. Not forgetting that you have been working under President Manoban for years, you should have known better."
"My brother grew up with Mr. Manoban. I don't see anything wrong with the doctor sharing these information with us," Akane said in between her sobs. "We are just really concerned about Mr. Manoban."
"Moreover, I am also here to take care of Mr. Manoban personally, so it is only right for me to know these things," she added while dabbing her handkerchief on her swollen eyes.
