"Hmmm...Your skill at scaring people is one of a kind... It made me speechless," Jennie said as she watched Chaerin run out of her office. She removed a voice recorder from her drawer and turned it off before rising from her seat. She looked at her husband and folded her arms around his neck. "But I like it." She smiled at him, her eyes staring into his. She could not deny that hearing him say those things coldly had awakened something inside Jennie.
Something... feral.
In response, Lisa gave her a small chuckle as his hands held her waist. "Funny how you haven't even started with your plans, and they come running here begging for their own destruction."
"For some reason, hearing you talk about destroying someone is sending electric pulses down my spine." She raised an eyebrow at him as she leaned in, brushing her lips on his before withdrawing. "A man who knows how to use his tongue is extremely sexy." She let out a small giggle before her eyes caught the black paper bag that Lisa suddenly put on the table.
"You are wearing a really tight pencil skirt." Lisa said, his voice low.
"And?"
"Well..."He leaned down, brushing his lips into her ear. Then he whispered, "I can only think of one way to get it off you and that involves neither zippers nor patience."
Jennie's pupils dilated the moment she heard his low voice against her ears. She tilted her head upwards, anticipation apparent in her eyes as she bit her lower lip and ordered, "Then... rip it apart."
...
Meanwhile, Chaerin was still shaking as she dialed her husband's phone number. She waited for a ring or two before he finally picked up the call.
"I have a meeting in five minutes," Won-Young answered in a stern voice.
"Won-Young ! I..." Chaerin started to sob. Her pent up emotion suddenly surged within her, preventing her from talking.
"Why are you crying? What happened?" Won-Young asked.
"Mo.... I.... I went to see Jennie and..." Chaerin's words were once again interrupted by her sobs.
"What? What happened? Did she do something to you?"
"No... but she... she threatened my brother. She said... she said she would ask someone to cut his toes one by one," Chaerin lied. How could she tell her husband that it was Lisa who threatened her? Lisa was more dangerous than Jennie, and she was sure that Won-Young wouldn't be able to fight against him. However, Jennie was different. Even though she had been removed from the Kim Family's registry, she was still Won-Young 's daughter, and this was something that she could not deny.
"What have you done to provoke her? I told you to avoid that woman. We needed to think about everything before doing something that could potentially ruin us! How could you provoke her?"
"Won-Young ! I did not provoke her. I just wanted to talk to her about the dinner that Nancy will host. We never had dinner as a family after she came back to Korea... I was just... I never thought that she would be so cruel," Chaerin said before sobbing again. She could not let Won-Young know that she had something to do with those pictures nor that she had come to threaten Jennie about those properties, so she chose to lie.
"That sl*t is going overboard!" Won-Young said in anger. "How could she disrespect you like that?"
A flush of relief could be seen in Chaerin's face when she heard her husband rage on the other side of the phone. She was sure that her words would only intensify Won-Young's hate towards his daughter. However, because of Lisa's status, he would not confront Jennie. This was an excellent start, Chaerin thought. Since Won-Young hated Jennie so much, it would not be easy for him to accept Jennie's status.
