Meanwhile Jennie was texting on her phone while occasionally glancing up to take in the view in front of her. When she was done sending the images that she had taken of the view earlier to Lisa, she smiled, anticipating of his reply.

[Lisa: I always knew you loved glitters but no amount of glitters could triumph over your beauty.]

Jennie smiled while reading the text message before she replied.

[Jennie: Thank you for your praise, President Manoban. I think the view would be even better if you are here with me...]

Then Jennie froze at the realization of how mushy her drafted text message was. She immediately deleted the text message with a straight face and drafted a new one. How could she act like a lovesick fool?

[Jennie: Thank you. I miss you too.]

After the text message was sent, Jennie froze. Why did she say 'I miss you too'? When he did not even tell her that he missed her? This...

"So you are now someone important, huh," someone spoke behind Jennie. Jennie immediately turned her head to look at Nancy and saw her malicious stare. Somehow Jennie wasn't surprised that Nancy came looking for her.

"Hmmm..." Jennie nodded before looking back at the glittering pool. Even though it was just the two of them near the pool, Jennie was blatantly ignoring her. Seeing Jennie's indifference made Nancy rage like a volcano had erupted and her blood boiling like hot lava. She was seething but she still managed to keep her emotions under control.

Nancy was a seasoned actress after all, and had long perfected her acting skills. Though she was really angry, her logical mind kept reminding her that losing control in a place like this could potentially cost her her entire acting career that she had painstakingly built with Kai's help.

"Well, let me tell you this Ruby Jane or Jennie or whatever your name is..." She made a deliberate pause and moved a little closer to Jennie. Then she adjusted her voice lower and said, "If you think your new status can make Kai take a second look at you, then you are wrong. We have been married for a long time now and we are expecting our first child together. He loves me. He won't spare a second glance at someone who is as dirty as you."

"Hmmm... true." Jennie nodded, disinterest apparent in her eyes. Actually, Jennie's mind was occupied on how to explain her last text message to Lisa. How could she break the news to him that she had sent him the wrong text message? Should she really tell him that it was wrongfully sent? She was sure that it would only make the latter upset.

How could she divert his attention away from the 'I miss you too' text? Then Jennie started to rack her brain to think if there was anything she was dissatisfied with Lisa. Jennie thought that she could use that as an excuse to get mad at him, thinking it might be a good distraction.

While Jennie's mind was occupied thinking of ways to divert Lisa's attention away from her last text message, Nancy was thinking about how she could make Jennie pay for humiliating her earlier and for ignoring her now. Nancy swallowed hard. She was so angry that she was clenching her fists so tight hurting her palms in the process.

"Did you think that your current status would make people look at you differently?" she added as she tilted her head towards Jennie's ears. "No... To me and to everyone else who knows what you did seven years ago... you are nothing but a slut. You are a lowly woman who could sleep with someone you just met at a bar," she said before gauging Jennie's reaction, thinking that her words were enough to provoke Jennie.

However, Jennie seemed to be preoccupied in her thoughts, her eyes were looking ahead. It was as if Nancy's words didn't affect her at all.

Jennie's brows furrowed a little when she really couldn't find a good reason to get 'mad' at Lisa. Maybe she could get mad for him not saying that he missed her first? But that would make her seem too shallow. Jennie's heart was in turmoil as she continued to deliberate her next course of actions. She was sure that the latter was already smiling from ear to ear after reading her text. He might even think that she had already fallen in love with him. This...
