Sky City
"So you think someone was behind He Xinlan's actions?" Lisa asked while watching Jennie comb her hair as she walked towards their bed.
"That is the only reason I can come up with that makes any sense. He Xinlan is a doctor. Drunk driving? I don't think she is that dumb. Did you see Yang Lina and He Yuyan's state? They were a mess..." She slowly sat on the bed next to Lisa. "It was not an accident. It was an attack, and I was the target."
Lisa fell into a deep silence when he heard Jennie's words. His smooth brow slowly became rumpled as he threw back the covers and climbed out of bed. He walked towards the desk in their room and opened his laptop.
"What's wrong?" Jennie asked as she followed him towards the desk. She then looked at Lisa's laptop. "Information on the Mu Family?"
"Hmmm... I asked Seulgi to get this information when we were investigating what happened to you seven years ago."
"And?"
"He Xinlan is a very deep woman. She is a doctor with lots of secrets." Liza said. "However, what made me look into this again is this one photo of her enjoying coffee with Chaerin and the Madam of the Kim Family. As you know... the Kim Family in Seoul is like a branch family of the Kim Family in Busan."
"Hmmm... I am aware." Jennie stared at the photo of the three women having a casual coffee with lots of shopping bags next to them. They must have shopped together and then decided to have coffee afterwards. "They seem to be quite close."
"Exactly," he nodded. "Don't worry, I will ask Seulgi to investigate when he returns next week."
"Alright," Jennie nodded before she suddenly sat on Lisa's lap, making him close his laptop and stare at her.
"You are not only good looking, you're also smart and dangerous. I think I am a very lucky woman," Jennie mused, instantly earning a grin from him.
"You really think I'm handsome, don't you?"
"I believe the term that I used was 'good-looking'. "
"Is there a difference?" Lisa countered before giving her a small kiss on the neck.
"Well handsome is..."
"Oh... you want to quibble?" Lisa raised an eyebrow.
"No... what I want right now... is to make love to you." Jennie's words surprised her but the glimmer of desire that flashed in her eyes was enough for Lisa to smile at her. Leaning in, with one hand holding her face, Lisa lightly brushed his lips against hers.
Jennie's eyes instantly darkened. How could a man be this beautiful and dangerous at the same time? Lisa must have realized what Jennie was thinking because he smiled. Jennie had seen him smile every day since this man came into her life, and yet she still found it unnerving that the attraction she felt towards him seven years ago was the same - if not double - what she feels everyday when he smiles at her.
Jennie slowly slid her arms over his shoulders, gently folding her arms behind his neck as she leaned in to kiss him. Her kiss was gentle - or at least that was how it started before she felt Lisa's other hand slowly making its way under her knees, rising while carrying her in one fell swoop, all without breaking the kiss.
Lisa lowered Jennie gently on the bed and stared at her for a few seconds. Jennie belonged here, with him. She was his. He then lowered himself on top of her, his weight resting on his forearms as he lifted a hand to brush away a strand of hair on her cheek. He stared into her golden eyes, and saw her staring back at him with unmasked desire.
