July 30th, Saturday - Launch Day

"In my defense, you called me a weak man and an old man in one week. You crushed my pride into smithereens with just one step. Shall I just let you do it again and again without trying to build up my confidence first? As a healthy man, I, too, need to assure myself that I am enough to satiate my wife's... cravings," Lisa smirked as he watched Jennie's frowning face.

Jennie narrowed her eyes at him. "Do you think your eloquence is enough to defend yourself? You- you brute!"

"Aiya... challenging me time and time again, then complaining you couldn't keep up. What is this logic?" In response, Jennie threw a large pillow towards her husband's face. he just laughed as he avoided the pillow.

"You told me that we were going to sleep last night!"

"You called me weak," Lisa responded, still laughing.

"Stop defending yourself!" Jennie hissed. "Go get me some medicine for body pains!"

Without getting up, Lisa handed her some medicine. "Eat your breakfast first, then drink this." He eyed the bed tray that he placed in front of Jennie.

"Bribing me with food... You think too lowly of me, Mr. Manoban." She narrowed her eyes at him before she shoved the porridge in her mouth. Jennie was actually pissed right now. Last night, this man ravaged her to the point of exhaustion. Right now, Jennie could still feel her legs shaking. How crude.

Though she couldn't deny the fact that she loved it, Jennie was still adamant about blaming him for her tired body. How was she supposed to walk in stilettos later?

"Does it taste good?" he asked when Jennie continued to eat it without saying anything. "It's early in the morning and you are already so grumpy. How about I give you a massage?"

"You seemed to be so idle Mr. Manoban. Don't you have a company to run?" she asked.

"It's Saturday. I am on a weekend holiday and I will be there to escort you later."

"Oh..." she nodded. "But you don't show yourself at events like this, right? I mean... I have never heard of you attending launch events like this."

"You are my wife. I attend every event that you attend."

"Fair enough. This is also good. Those women who have intentions towards you will know that I own you."

"You make it sound as If I am a woman and you are the cold hearted, possessive CEO who owns me."

"I am a cold hearted possessive CEO," she countered while slowly turning her head towards him before she lazily continued, "and I own you."

"Hmmm... now that I think about it," Lisa held his chin before grinning. "You are absolutely right!"

Seeing Lisa's silly expression, Jennie couldn't help but also smile. After she told him her feelings, Jennie expected awkwardness between them but contrary to her expectations, she felt as if they become even closer. Maybe it was... the honesty? Or the rawness that both of them showed towards each other. She didn't know... and Jennie found it too complicated to discuss this. She felt good and she knew, he did too. And for that... she was thankful.

...

The launch will be a four-hour evening event that will start at six. It will be held in one of the high-end hotels that is located in the northwestern part of Seoul. Since this is not near Sky City, Jennie decided to have her makeup done at the hotel itself.

Originally, Jennie decided to head down to the hotel at noon with Irene. This was already in her schedule. However, because she woke up late, she asked Irene to just go to the hotel without her to prepare everything while she and Lisa will come later as he will also be the one escorting her to the event.
