In this chapter and we're going to discuss about sending out the business proposal. After speaking with your first client you will want to list out all of the services that you're going to provide for them. This is called your proposal or as I like to call them game plan. I just like the working game plan a more of more action oriented.
You will also add also has less connotation of proposal. We know as a business owner we know that if we get a proposal it's going to have dollar figures they're going to this person the service provider is going to want to spend money with them. A game plan just sounds a little less invasive that you want to send over this game plan quickly or not too long really after meeting.
Ideally the same day that you me or speak with them on the phone. The more detail the game plan the better. The reason why that is has a few benefits when you have a game plan that's very detailed. First of all it's impressive. It looks like you've really done your homework. You've taken your time to show how you can help their business.
Second of all it creates accountability. So this is accountability for you as a company to show your clients hey look this is my list of what I said I'm going to do. You can hold us accountable to this list to doing all of the things on this list on a monthly basis or if it's a Website until the Website is complete.
Also it creates a To-Do list for your team. When you have a game plan listing out the exact services that you're going to do you can then just take that game plan take that that checklist and it becomes an action list for your team. It's great in that aspect also it's very easily scalable what you can do is create a template of a game plan and then you have to do is click every time that you send one down.
You can just plug in the company's name and make a few adjustments as you need to. So it's very easily scalable. And in fact I'll have a sample game plan in the notes it will be very basic but maybe I'll try and get a couple in there be very basic. And just to give you an idea of what a game plan should look like.
So that's what I'm discussing about. Also one thing I should mention is that when you send that to your game plan send it as a PTF. Do not send it as a Word document or a Notes document or anything like that send it as a as a PTF. And again that's helping with their level professionalism also makes it so it's not really changeable on their end.
Now that's sending a fifth or a digital copy. There's another thing that you can do is with online proposals there's a number of services out there and here's just a few of them. Propose of all quote roller bid's sketch and nifty quoter. All of them are online services that will let you create a quote on line and the benefits are some of the advantages include that it is already in a digital format.
Oftentimes they have software that will let you see sales intelligence or business intelligence as they call it. It lets you see what quotes have gone out and what has come in and how you can track all of that. And then it also automates the process even more so. Even better than a PTF in slapping somebody's business name on there.
This is much more scalable because all you have to do is use this software. The catch with this software is that there's a cost. Of book there's usually a monthly cost with all of these that I've listed there's a monthly cost. They're not going to break the bank for sure. Especially when you have a lot of volume in which you have a sales team you probably are going to want to use something like this.
That way you can manage it all from one central location from your desk from your laptop sitting wherever you happen to be in the world at that time. So of the sites that I've listed here I'm personally most impressed with the proposal.
It's clean and it's easy to use and it gives you great insight as to what's actually happening. So that's it for the game plan the proposal and a little bit have. Go over them. So at this point what we want to do. You already have your first client going. You're sure you're getting the services down for that client.
