In this chapter we're going to discuss about the power of referrals. The other activities that I've listed out ahead of time here networking events chambers mixers all of this while these activities are great. The best way to build your business is through referrals from your current clients. This is hands down the best way to get new clients.
The reason why is because they are coming with a warm introduction from a common friend your client for starters this is what gets them through the front door. So when you do a good job for your clients and you get results they're going to tell their other business owner friends about you especially because they are if you're providing a real face to an online marketing company.
So referrals are also great because they only happen when you've done everything right. In other words your client is only going to refer you to others when you've done a great job and have already spoken about under promising and over delivering. And this is one of the reasons why it's really important to make sure you go above and beyond for your clients when you do you not only and when you do you not only can help their business but they genuinely appreciate you and often want to help you in return.
Deliver as promised and do a little something extra every month. And when you do this you will see the referrals start to flow in and every now and then. Don't be afraid to ask for referrals. When you do a great job and you have a great rapport and a great relationship with your clients don't be afraid to ask.
Every now and then to ask them say hey do you know anybody. That's right. Here's a better way to say and you can say hey John that's so great that we will help you get on page one last month and we're going to continue to do the same this month and in the foreseeable future. Is there anyone right now that you know that you think could also benefit from these same services?
But it's something that you can do like that. So be sure to remind them of the benefit of a reason why they're doing business with you and then do and ask you can ask them for the referral. And again if you've done your job up to this point you're going to eat the referrals will come in and these referrals are often your most loyal form of clients.
In fact these kinds can be with you for literally years. And so you will see and quickly see that the lifetime value of these clients will get into the thousands and tens of thousands or maybe even bigger. Based on your particular business model and how you do it again referrals as hands down the best way to get new business.
