In this chapter I want to introduce you to the concept of team building and this is the key to massive growth. I told you I said this again before and I'll say it again. Your most important job as a business owner is to drive revenue.
So with a service based business especially even if you wanted to do everything yourself you're limited to the available hours in the day. So in order to grow you need to hire a good team. So your core focus at all times should be on how to make more money.
Everything else is important of book but your goal is to get back to the reason why you started this business in the first place. I'm sure it wasn't to fill out spread-sheets or put or to post to Twitter all day long. So with this in mind you need to be active in watching your actions all day.
So here's a simple way to tell if what you're doing is making money or not or money making activity at various times of the day. Stop and ask yourself is what I'm doing right now. Making more money. If not then outsource whatever it is the heck that you're doing.
Another way to think about it is to evaluate your daily activities and think if you were to do 10 times the amount of what you're doing would that lead to making ten times more money. If it does then you're doing the right thing. If what you're doing simply gets a task done but doesn't make you more money then you need to find someone else to get on that task.
I hope this makes sense. There's a very fine line between processing when you could say well I'm doing quick books right now I'm doing the books of book I need to do so than I can manage all the money that's coming in so that I can then make more money.
One of the closest things to actually making more money is the act of selling or creating something that you're going to use to sell. But when it boils down to it again as a business owner your primary job is to drive revenue. And once that revenues coming in and when you have a system set up and other people driving it for you than your job is to maintain that and to grow it and scale it even bigger.
