In this chapter and this chapter we're going to discuss about how to make your first sale. So at this point if you've been following along or actually doing everything you should have read everything said that you should have your Web site set up you should have your social media platform set up you have your business entity all of the stuff online and off if you've got it going and now is the time to open the virtual doors of your business and make some money and this is the best part.

This is what makes everything up until now. Worth it. Also there's just nothing better than making money on your own especially if you're coming in from the employee world. And this is your first dabble in entrepreneurship. That first check is so special.

You will always remember your first client. So the goal right now is to get your first paying client. Don't try and sell to the world yet. Just get your first client first. Your first client will act somewhat like a lab rat and this is actually a good thing.

They don't have to know their lab rat. But this is a lab rat in a good way. You will make sure that the payment processing that you have set up works the way it should. What was the main pain point that they had that caused them to spend money with you why are they even listening to your sales pitch. Did they pay you correctly did they? Was it easy? Was it this simple process or did they have a lot of questions on how to enter their credit card or anything like that.

Pay attention to what questions they have. Then also you want to think about were you able to deliver the services and get the results that you and your client want. And then if not what challenges or issues came up what prevented you from doing that. These are all very important things to think about.

And in fact this is the time to get everything right. Right now with your very first client you want to refine the process sort it out now and then that way this will become part of the system that you create so that you can go big.
