We are going to discuss about why you should speak and teach. When you attend enough of these live networking events eventually the organizers will find out what you do and before you know it you will be offered a chance to speak.

And speaking is a great way to get exposure for your business and to grow your client base. Always say yes whenever somebody asks you if you can speak at their next event. Always say yes. What it means is that you're going to be the center of attention you're going to be able to share your message which is generally going to be about internet marketing.

And so you will be able to not so discreetly pitch your business. You of book you're going to offer some great solutions some things that are happening in the industry and at the end you will be given a chance to just do maybe a one to two minute pitch about your business and your services and what you do.

It's a great opportunity to get in front of a lot of people that all of book can use your services. So this could mean actually speaking at Chamber of Commerce meetings it could mean a mixer could even mean teaching at a workshop or at a conference. In fact what you want to do is reach out to directors of associations or these conferences or organizations and remember your niche.

Let's say for example if you really enjoy the home services niche for me it's a personal favourite. There could be and I'm sure there is a referrers Association of America. You could reach out to the director of that organization and find out about their schedule.

They probably have monthly or maybe by annually or annual summits or conferences. If there's one that's coming to a town in the here you can offer to speak there. And as you reach out with enough of these directors of these organizations and you're going to be able to get these opportunities to teach in fact you have to remember that most of these organizations they're they have dues they have chapter dues or club dues whatever it is.

And their goal is to provide value for the members of their organization. And one of the ways they can do that is help with help the members of their organization grow their businesses. And so of book online marketing is a big attractive part of that. And when you can step in and say hey I can help out with that I can teach a workshop if you like or seminar.

I've actually done that personally and it's worked out great what you can do is as you're speaking. Pass around a signup sheet with name number e-mail contact information everything and you leave the conference with a sheet or two or three full of names that you can then follow up with also one of the things that you want to do when you're at these meetings is you want to give people your best stuff.

The big key is to be insanely hopeful. They won't implement anything you share in themselves. And if they do. Like I said in The Last Chapter they're not your client anyway right. So if they're not going to hire you to do the stuff that's fine. They're not your client but most of the time these people want to hire you because they see you as an expert. You're the one speaking and teaching them about it.

And they just plain don't have the time or the desire to do it themselves. So when you show your give them your best stuff you're demonstrating your expertise and it's going to help as they call it you selling right you're educating them.

But at the same time you're selling them on you and on your company and why you're a solution to their online marketing problems. So put on your best show and you can and you can watch the business cards of people wanting to discuss to you come your way in fact you will be sitting at the little Bat table at the back and people are going to drop by and give you their business cards or like I said sign up on your on your information sheet with all their contact info.

And speaking again speaking of teaching is a great way to get in front of a lot of people and a great way to grow your business.
