END OF SEVENTH YEAR.

They had graduated! Selene, James, Lily, Marlene, Alice, Remus, Sirius, and Peter. They had made it through Hogwarts with ease. They had been and lived through everything together. They lived through the success the failure and the many many detentions.

Selene was enjoying the final time she would enjoy Hogwarts mashed potatoes. The amazing potatoes that were absolutely heavenly. "MERLIN! I am so glad I am out of this place." Marlene breathed, gulping her pumpkin juice. "I am glad to start my life," Alice said quietly with a small smile across the table, her hand in Frank's.

Selene looked around the Great Hall. She had tears welling in her eyes. This place she grew up and found some of the best people she would ever meet. She had found her platonic soulmate and watched herself fall in love with the most unexpected guy.

She looked over at the Slytherin table. Selene never quite had a problem with the Slytherin s like others had. She had found amazing friends in the house of the ambitious. One being Regulus Black. She hadn't talked to the boy in months but the two exchanged subtle nods of acknowledgment. Selene truly loved the youngest Black brother, she would have to talk to him when life gave her to chance to.

She then turned her gaze to the teacher's table.

Minerva McGonagall.

Her favorite teacher to ever exist. She had already exchanged information with the witch to write to her to keep updated with each other's life. She couldn't leave her Minnie.

"Crazy, huh?" Someone said from beside her. Selene looked over to see where the voice was coming from to see her best friend her first-ever friend. "Yeah." Selene breathed out, nodding her head looking at the cloudy ceiling of the hall.

"We made it, Sel, together."

"We did, Lils." Selene smiled at her green-eyed best friend. Lily took her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze, smiling brightly.

"Selly!" James whispered. "Yes, J?"

"Walk with me?"

"Okay."

The two walked the grounds of Hogwarts for the last time. "I'm going to miss it." She whispered, "I met my best friends because of it, and I met you."

"I'm glad I met you too, I love you, Sel."

"I love you too, Jamesie."

James stopped abruptly right in front of the whomping willow, "Selene,"

"Yes?"

"We have been together for a year, we are of age and leaving school now. I love you and that's all I really know."

Selene smiled, tears coming back to her eyes.

"I also know something else. It's you, it always will be. The only regret I have is that I didn't make you mine sooner. I love you so much."

And then he did the thing. The thing Selene had been thinking of her whole life. The thing that was so unexpected a small gasp left Selene's lips. He got down on one knee. He pulled out a ring with a diamond on it with six rubies surrounding it.

"Will you marry me?"

Selene nodded a smile on her lips as she hugged him.

"YES! I KNEW YOU COULD DO IT, PRONGS!" Sirius yelled.

Selene looked over and laughed, "of course he knew."

Some would say it is too early. That they were only kids, but these kids had known each other since the train ride seven years back, and were sure of one thing - each other. It was dark times they were headed for. Who knew what was coming to the young adults?
