"Shit! Fuck!" You scratched on the generator, trying to hold on as tight as possible, so the killer wouldn't carry you away.
It didn't work out.
The Legion member threathened your fingers with his knife, forcing you to let go of it.
You got carried with speed, but you wouldn't give up without a fight.
You kicked with your legs and fists, hitting his back, making him let out grunts of mild discomfort.
You got grabbed by your waist, and thrown foward rather roughly.
You ended up recieving a sharp pain in your shoulder. The meat hook hungrily slipped inside your flesh, wrapping around your collarbone, and forcing you to hang onto it with your dear life.
You let out a blood curdling scream, that would stop anyone from thinking.
Anyone other than the killer.'Okay... oh god... this never hurts less...' You thought as your vision blurred.
You heavily looked up, at the pleased, groaning hook.
The killer was nowhere to be found by now.
You swallowed dry, lifting up your arms.
It hurt like a bitch, making you squeal in pain. You grabbed onto the rusty metal, pulling yourself up.
You swayed with your legs, trying to get yourself off the hook.
You tried several times, eventualy giving up because more and more blood trickled down your arm.God... you can't even stay alive for yourself.
You hated the fact that you were caught so easily. All the killers had a taste for you, just because you were to easy.
So useless..."Hey, I got you"
A soothing voice sounded from next to you.
You turned your head, recognizing detective Tapp. Or as you liked to call him, David.
He was glad you preffered that name. Sometimes it got tiring, constantly being reffered to as Officer or Detective.
"I got you, it's fine..." He carefuly grabbed you above your hips, slipping you off the hook as carefuly he could. You hissed as soon as the hook unwillingly left your shoulder.
You landed on the ground, grabbing onto his shoulders.
"Sorry- sorry. It just hurts" You apologized, trying to get off him.
"It's okay. Sheesh... I feel like the damn kid has it out for you hm?" David moved your sweater aside, checking your wound.
"Yeah... I get caught all the time..." You admitted as your vision started to blur once more.
"Hey, it's fine, don't think much of it. We'll get out of here and help you with that scratch" He reassured you, wrapping his arm around your shoulders. The detective led you off to the side, to safety.
You both sat down and you uncovered your wound.
"Listen David I'm... I'm sorry" You looked to the ground as he carefuly cleaned your wound.
"Heavens, for what?" He looked up for a second, before getting back to his task.
"For... for being such a burden. I know I get caught a lot and... and that you always have to come and get me..." Your eyes blurred as you struggled to keep some tears in.
"Because everyone else gave up on me... since I'm not a team player and all that..." You frowned when you remembered all the talk that was happening behind your back.
"You're not a team player. That's true" Dave took you out of thought.
"And you don't have to be a team player. I never really was myself" He smiled slightly as he thought about his cracky, rough past.
"All you have to do is try your best" He looked up at you, before taking out a roll of soft bandages.
"Yeah- but others think that I'm not trying my best." You said, maybe rougher than you wanted.
"What others think, doesn't matter" He started wrapping the bandage around your shoulder, keeping his voice calm.
"What you think matters. And right now, you need to think positive" He looked up at you, eyes staring deep into your soul.
He really meant that...
You looked down to the grassy ground.
"Thanks Dave..." You smiled a little. He was surprisingly sweet most of the time.
"Don't even mention it. Now let's go, we've still got work to do" The detective got up, helping you on the way up.
You grabbed his hand, getting brought up, maybe a little too close to his face. You started walking towards the nearest generator, with Tapp's arm around your shoulders.
"I never want to hear you say that you're useless okay? I don't like hearing those words coming out of you..." He reassured you once again.
"Yes officer..." You smiled tiredly.
"And no officer eighter! I don't like those words too!" He protested again, making you laugh quietly.
He was a good man.You both ended up attacking a generator, talking only a little. The killer never came, so you moved onto another. It was awfuly quiet before the raging teenager jumped through a window, stabing both of you down in his insane frenzy.
Once the killer breathed it out a little, muttering nonsense to himself... he picked you both up. Hanging both you and Tapp next to each other.
He quickly left, leaving you alone, soon slaming another poor soul to the ground. The ever-hungry entity started crawling onto your meat hook with speed.
Maybe you should just let it kill you...
"Hey!" The detective's voice forced you to look away from the creature, and shift your attention to him.
"Don't you even think about it!" His arm was slightly raised upwards, towards you.
You grabbed David's hand, feeling yours being slightly squished in his.
You heard the Entity snarl above your head, feeling the lovey dovey emotions leak from you. It quickly leaned back to attack you. You caught onto it with speed, unfortunately canceling the hold you were sharing with David.
The Entity's claws felt scaly and warm on your fingers. It had such strength, and you could feel the claw hungrily scratch at your chest, moving your necklace to the side.
It fought back and forth, before finaly sliping from your grasp and leaning back, before imbeding itself deep in your chest.
You heard a bunch of bones snap and your vision darkened imidiately.
A swift death.
"Oh hell no! I'm not letting 'em go alone! Y'hear?!" You heard David call out before the entity crawled up on his own hook. You were dead.
Dead and... alone.
You had no body, it got left in the trial. Now you're just a half-eaten soul, flying in the void.
"Hey" a voice joined you. David's.
"Hey" you said back. Or did you?
"Don't think a whole lot out of it okay? We both died" The voice re-assured you.
"Yeah..."
"Yeah we're equal on that right?" Dave chuckled a little.
You felt a pulling. As if you were falling.
"They already finished the trial?" You asked.
"They died too yeah..." Dave confirmed. The fall got faster and stronger.
You started making out the tips of trees.
The landing won't be soft.
You fell fast.
You quickly balled yourself up, preparing for the rough landing. You were suddenly grabbed, falling even faster. You knew it was the detective.
You both hit the ground, with you knocking the air out of Tapp."You... you alright?" You asked, wiggling out of his grab.
Through coughs he nodded.
"Okay... good..." You got up slowly, helping him up as well.
The survivors around the campfire didn't even bat an eye.
It was a normal thing to see someone fall out of the sky by now.
"Let's... let's move out of the crash zone and get ourselves checked up" He said, holding his side.
You agreed, letting him lean on you as you walked towards Claudette, who was already preparing her medical supplies.
"Thanks..." Tapp said.
"No... thank you Dave" You smiled at him.1303 words
