'Aaand crap...' You sighed, lowering your sloulders. All that work, coming to the dangerous basement and not finding anything useful. Twas just a small flashlight. I mean it is better than nothing, but you didn't know how to really use one.
Guess it's better to learn now than never.

You slowly crawled out of the creepy cracky basement, feeling your heart beat nervously increase.
'Okay okay... slow peak...' You thought to yourself, slowly peeking your (h/c) head out of the basement. You could see someone bend over behind the window. Maybe it was one of your friends?
"Hey..!" You whisper-shouted towards the window, poking out a little more.
The person lifted up from what they were doing and your heartbeat increased a lot more.
It was one of the big murderers.
The Trapper.
You've all learnt to call him that way because of the large bear traps he laid on the ground. You stand in one of those suckers and you get caught. It hurts like hell. No matter how many times it happens.

You quickly hid your head back down from the large killer. He defenetly saw you. But what if he didn't? Your heart was still bumping so you just knew he was there. You sighed and were just about to check if he's still around. As soon as you moved you saw a heavy foot stomp above the basement. Your breathing increased again and you pushed yourself to the wall. You could hear the monsters heavy breathing. He always wore a mask made out of bones. Most likely human ones. It was probably hard to breathe in it. Yet his breathing was monstrously calm and colected.
You could hear him growl like a monster
and step closer to the basement. His boot was right above your head.
You then heard him snarl in displeasure and with creaky floorboards, he walked away. You sighed heavily. Your heart calmed down. Geez... nothing for the weak hearted...

You crawled out of the basement, happy you survived. You continued to walk towards the doorway of the shack, with a stupid smile on your face, before you tripped.
In the middle of the shack, was a hole in the woody ground. And you stepped in it.
You landed on the dirty floorboards with a loud "Shit!" and a bang. As soon as you got to your knees you heard the heavy stomping coming closer once more. Theese killers had some really good hearing. You smash with a chest way too hard and they hear it on a far radius.
You looked behind yourself to see if the killer was anywhere nearby and ooh boy... he was.
The large bear-like man was aproaching at frightening speed. You relized it was your time to move away.

You quickly started scooting away from him, keeping feared eye contact. His eyes were not really visible in the darkness of his mask, but you simply knew there was something no longer human about them.
You scooted quickly out of the killershack and were just about to get up before...
A bolting pain went through your left hand. You screamed out loud in pain and looked over to what happened. A bear trap had it's sharp, rusty teeth stuck into your arm, and showed no signs of wanting to let go. You squirmed as your eyes filled with tears of pain and turned back to the killer. He was standing victoriously in front of you, the moon on his back and his large shadow looming over you.
You knew that begging and talking had no reason with theese madmen and so you just stared in fear.

You gazed upon him. His muscular arms, that were weilding a metal cleaver that was stained with blood.
His shoulders had meat hooks stuck into them, he seemed to show no pain to them anytime you met him. He must've been so resilient towards pain.
As you were studying his body you saw that his arm was slowly raised above his head. The heavy cleaver shined in the moonlight before it went down on you.
But no pain came... instead, the cleaver ended up stuck nicely in the ground, ready to be picked up again by the killer. You've never seen any killer just let go of their weapon like that...
The Trapper bent down closer to you and grabbed on the trap.
"Ow ow ow..." You squirmed as he pulled it closer to himself. He stared at his trap for a bit before his black eyes went to your scared face.

You reminded him of that one time his padded bear trap caught a small doe. That was before he got to... this realm. The deer looked just like you, scared and in shock. As he got close to it, he was told to kill it. The doe tried to get away but the chain on the trap was keeping her in one place. He bent down to it and opened it up for the doe. She ran away as soon as she figured she was free. Didn't even look back at him.
He got yelled at by his father that evening...

The Trappers memory was quickly hidden back into the back of his head by your quiet sniff of pain.
He grabbed on the trap and started pulling the rusty jaws apart. As soon as you were free, you took off, leaving the Trapper on his one knee. But... he didn't follow... you stopped running and looked back at him. He was still on the ground, just looking at you run. What was going through his mind?
You got an idea... a very stupid idea mind you.
You slowly crept closer to him again, basicaly on all fours. You were about a meter apart. You slowly raised your hand towards him. The beast let out a quiet throathy growl. As if he was a starving wolf, only ready to snap at your tiny palm. You slowly set your hand on his masked forehead.
You were actualy touching a killer... in a comforting way. You stepped a little closer, with a wide smile of amaizment and light respect on your face. The killer just kept still, growling a little here and there.
Was it actualy possible to have a normal, friendly relationship with a killer?

The sirens of the last generator howled and it moved with both of you. The Trapper got on his feet and unstuck his cleaver from the ground. You gave him a deep, thankful nod and quickly ran to the nearest gate.

It was really an interesting round...
You wondered when you'll meet him again.
