"You don't have to go there you know..." Yui looked at you sadly as she set her hand on your shoulder, still trying to make you change your mind.
"No, I made a promise, and I always hold my promises..." You denied, but smiled quite softly at her, to show that you didn't mean it harshly.
"Fine but... if something goes wrong don't hesitate to run back to me okay?" She warned you before letting you go. You gave her a thumbs up before pushing open the wooden door to the realm of the Oni. Or as you personaly knew him, Kazan.
He asked of you to call him by his name, as the dirty name of the killer angered him. A lot.

You were welcomed with the nice, mossy ground and a strong smell of bamboo. There was something else, nicely smelling in the air but you were unable to identify it yet. You closed the mossy door behind yourself, looking around for any signs of your meet up.
Y'see, you made a promise.
You searched your mind for the trial when you made the promise. Kazan was just about to brutaly murder your survivor friend Yun, but you yelled out to him. He and you ended up on an ageement. He lets you all go, and you meet him in his bamboo filled realm afterwards. You weren't really sure what he would do to you, and you were very afraid.
Non than less you decided to ramage in the storage shack and put on some better looking clothes that you have not really worn out here yet.
At least look good on your funeral.

Your attention was brought to the rather large house that stood further away from you. You sighed, walking closer. You aproched the paper door, seeing a welcoming yellow light coming from inside. You were just about to try and knock when the door suddenly opened, scaring you a little. You were not met with a giant, scary ogre, but rather with a small, blue skinned killer.
The Spirit.
She was wearing an older kimono, that was tatered here and there. You didn't really know her personaly, but you assumed they had something together with Kazan.
The floating hair and shared anger told you so.

"Who are you?" The Spirit asked in pitch perfect english, with a voice that sounded echo-y and trippled. She didn't seem agressive or angry, just a little suspicious.
"Oh, I uh, I'm here to see... Kazan?" You nervously lift your shoulders, tilting your head. The ends of the Spirit's mouth curved into a smile, before her head quickly turned to the side and she angrily yelled into the house.
"OJĪCHAN!!" (Grandpa!!)
Her sharp nails dug into the wooden door and her features became so angry. It tugged with you again.
She waited for a moment, her body soon calming into a smile she had before. You heard a deep hum come from inside the house.
"Seizon-sha ga anata ni ai ni kimashita!" (Survivor came to see you!)
She shouted again, this time, a much more calmer expression on her round, blue face. This time you got no answer from the house. Only a loud groan.
A giant pile of muscle soon came from a corner, setting his grey, clawed hand on a nearby wall.
He too was wearing a kimono, of course much larger than Spitit's, with a deep blue color. He was still wearing that scary Oni mask of his though.

Kazan.

Your entire body started shaking when you saw him. Your memory filled with the terrifying trials, where he would tear out survivors tongues, smash their faces with his heavy kanabo until nothing but mush was left, and much more...
"So you came..." His deep, echo-y voice boomed through the air, making you flinch lightly. You pushed out a visibly nervous smile and gave a nod.
"Yes, what did you need of me?" You said, gulping down the nerve knot stuck in your dry throat.
Kazan threw a look towards Spirit, getting a nod and a convulsive grin from her.
"Please. Walk with me." He turned back to you, speaking once again. You gave a nod and followed behind him, soon walking by his side.

You walked out in silence as dead autumn leaves fell down to the ground all around you, ocasionaly making you step on one. The silence was broken by Kazan.

"You must apologize Rin's fast pacing personality... she has been through a lot. More than most." He spoke about the girl in the house. When he talked, it felt so odd, you knew him as this big, powerful force that tore down anything it wanted, but now... he sounded gentle. Careful even. Made you feel the vibe of a gentle giant from him.
"Rin... she's your... wife? I presume?" You very carefuly asked, preparing yourself for a hit that would come from Kazan. You only got a quiet chuckle and a look from above.
"No no, Rin is my granddaughter" You could feel Kazan smile under his mask, which provided some relief to you.

You two continued to walk for a bit more, in a much more comfortable silence. Kazan led you up on a small hill, that had a pretty amaizing view if it wasn't so dark.
"I have to admit, your realm is one of my most favorites..." You said, looking over the large bamboo bushes and the bright green grass.
"You like it here, yes?" Kazan turned to you, happy to hear the compliment. You gave a simple nod, looking around still.
Slowly but surely, a large yellow ball roze on the horizon. The sunrise? What's that doing here? Kazan explained he and Rin have the power to fiddle with the weather in their realm, but mostly keep it dark since the entity doesn't really apriciate sun.
Hates it actualy.
So he raised the sun for you... kind of... nice.

The mountain of a man breathed in.
"(Y/n)" Kazan spoke up, getting your attention.
"I know I have not been good to you or your fellow survivors. But you must forgive me, it is what I have to do" He explained, lowering his gaze in light shame.
"It's okay... I understand it's your job" You gave a weak smile, as if to reassure him that it was fine. It wasn't, but you felt bad for him.
He, once again, apriciated the gesture. You were very well manered, and he liked that.
"And, the second thing I wanted to ask of you..." He fully turned to you, feeling just a little nervous. He extended his large, grey hand and grabbed your very tiny one.
"Would you wish to come here more often..?" He laid the question.

Since Kazan first saw you, he wanted to get closer to you, to know you. He'd kill anyone close to you, trying to take up their spot.
You only stared at him with question marks in your eyes.
"I have wished for a longer time to get a chance and speak with you. I was of course unable to, and now that I have you here..." He stopped mid-sentence, as if to calm down. "I only wish to get to know you. I wish to form a bond between us... will you allow me that?" You felt his strong bear-sized hand squeeze your tiny, pale one. You felt your cheeks go warm and your body stiffen.
"Kazan" You started your sentence carefuly.
"I would... I would like being with you more. Of course I can come over more often" You looked up at him, a thin smile on your lips.
Joy came over Kazan, he hasn't heard a sound so pleasing to his ears for a very long time.

"Please, let us go back in, Rin is making tea for us" Kazan gently laid his hand over your shoulders a he led you back to his and Rin's house.
So that was the nice smell you couldn't identify earlier...
