Yeah. It's what you'd guess.

Ace's body fell to the ground with a loud thud. He was really tough and extremly cocky. Probably what got him through this entire thing.
You were even feeling bad for him.
"Hey Visconti, good fight, no hard feelings" You helped him off the ground, staggering a little.

You and a few other survivors got bored, and since most of you were a bit sportsy, or thick headed, you decided to have boxing matches.
Who wins, wins.
You got through Felix, who honestly needed one punch and was out of it, Nea, who was moving very quickly and had you loose your breath in a couple of moments, and now Ace, who was extremly stubborn and could take on a bunch of hits. It was getting harder and harder. But you enjoyed it.

You didn't exactly know who was gonna be your next oponent, as you didn't see the other fight going on, but you guessed Yui.

"No it's fine! It's good to be put in your place from time to time... but I want a rematch in a bit!" Ace laughed, patting you on your shoulder and limping away, to sit down.
You only laughed and nodded as a response, looking around for someone else who would want to pick up a fight with you.
Over the tiny crowd suddenly loomed a pretty big shadow.
It pushed aside Yun-Jin and Dwight, who twitched at the touch of the thing.
Your shoulders dropped and your mouth slightly opened in fear.
The shadow was... David King.
One person you were hoping not to fight.

Dave was an ex-boxer and a rugby player, with his body answering that description.
Big muscles lined his body from top to bottom, and his knuckes were always stained blue from all the hard blows.
He could take a lot of hits and not fall down... and he could give a lot of hits...
He got in front of you with a light smirk.
"How good ya think ya are?" He asked, his accent coming through roughly.
You pumped up your chest slightly. You couldn't say no. Not after all this. You'd seem like a chicken.
"Good enough" You said, trying to sound tough.
"I'm likin' that talk... you up for a beat wit me?" He asked, crossing his arms on his wide chest.
You swallowed, fear circling in your belly. Without a thought, you blurted out an answer. "Like hell I am!" You said, pumping up your chest again. You must've looked like a tiny fighting rooster next to him.
Dave liked that. He liked the fighting spirit you had. The no-fear.
It's a dumb, stubborn thing, but god is it entertaining...
"Right 'en, gimmie a sec" He returned to the crowd for a bit. You had a while to rest.
You saw Claudette aproach you.

"You really sure you want to do that? I know you're filled with adrenaline but you want to take on David?" She carefuly asked, gently grabing your arm.
"I'll do it" You simply said.
"There's no reasoning with you, is there..." She whined.
"At least ask him to let you keep your teeth in" Claudette said, before she was cut off by a loud whistle.
You both turned your attention towards it, and you were slightly stunned. It was obviously from Dave.
You've never really seen him... entirely.
His muscles seemed even larger now that he was just in a bloody tank.
Claudette backed up, away from you, and you got ready in your fighting stance.
Dave slowly aproached, staring deep into your eyes with no fear. He knew he was going to win, but your foolish determination wouldn't let you belive that so easily.

"Clau said I should ask you to keep all my teeth in! Be nice to me why don't you?" You said, carefuly walking around him, just like he did.
"So ya don't mind broken ribs?" Dave taunted before swinging his right at you.
A move you expected, but weren't fully prepared for. You ducked down too late and the top of your head was roughly brushed by his fist.
You felt a slight, shimmering pain from the brush.
While you were on the lower part, you made up quick tactiques of what you could do.
There wasn't much time, so you double-punched David's right knee to get some time. He hissed slightly, more from not expecting it, rather than pain. He lost some balance.
As you were gonna roll away, you got a faster start then you wanted. David's other leg managed to kick your back, making you fall to the dirty ground.
You quickly rolled over on your back, dodging another kick.
You looked up at David, who distanced himself.
"C'mon, I ain't gon' fight 'cha on the ground ye hear? Get up" He said, motioning for you to get up, as he looked over your fallen body.
Normaly he wouldn't fight with someone like you, but he so wanted to meet you more, and this was the only way he knew.
He was hoping you'd get up. Not so he could fight you more, but to see if you still had that stubborn spirit. The spirit he has.

You cleared your throat, getting up from the floor. Before you could pick up on what was happening, a really hard punch hit your ribs. You weren't really even sure where it landed. You just felt pain.
Almost instantly you knew a second one was coming. You ducked under David's arm and hid behind his back. While you had this time, you used it to punch his sides as much as you could.
You landed two or three hits before your arm was roughly grabbed and you were pulled over David's back, being very roughly slammed across the ground again.

It knocked all the wind out of you, and Dave's foot on your hurting chest wasn't helping.
You tapped the ground a few times, to let him know you're over, and that you can't go on.
Your head hurt, your side hurt a lot and your lungs were still trying to recover.
Dave set his foot off of you and helped you up, hitting your back -much more gentler- to make space for air.
He wanted to say something.
He wanted to say something really bad but it got stuck in his throat.
He just stared at your beat up form, that was slowly moving away from him. Your back was killing you.

You pushed through the tiny crowd, heading towards a small shack in the woods.
It worked as a storage area for you survivors. Extra clothes, healing components and other were stored inside. Quentin even occasionaly took a nap there.
Your ego was hurt, and you needed a place to lick away your wounds without any prying eyes. Last thing you needed was some Visconti showing your loss into your face.
You entered the large shack.
Items were stored on crooked shelves and bones on strings hung from the celing, quietly clunking in the light breeze.
You aproached one of the boxes and sat on them, back to the doorway.

After a while of sitting, and checking if all your ribs are in place, you felt a presence of another person.
Turning around, you saw Dave, leaning on the doorway with a rather... concerned look.
You didn't even know what to say or tell him. You weren't good with words, and neighter was he.
"You put up a good 'un" Dave said, slowly getting up and walking to you.
"Yeah... n' you throw damn good punches..." You quietly chuckled, scooting away from him.
David sat down further away from you.
"Yeah 'bout that... you feelin' fine?" He turned to you, studying your face.
"Yeah yeah I'm good. My side hurts a little but that's fine" You said with a shy smile, holding onto your side, hiding the real pain it had.
"I'm sorry..." Dave said, sounding actualy ashamed.
"Ya know, normaly I'd invite 'cha for a pint but I can't really do that 'ere" Dave said, crossing his arms again.
"Oh what a lady charmer you are" You chuckled, looking at him. Dave got up and walked to the other side of the shack.
He crouched down at some point and tore out an old wooden floorboard. You tried looking over his shoulder when you heard quiet clanking come from under.
Dave got up, holding two brown bottles. You recognized them as beer bottles.
The labels were scratched and sloppily torn off so you couldn't see what brand it could be.
"Ere you go..." He handed one to you. You hesitated a bit, before snatching it out his hand.
"As an apology for messin' ya up" Dave said, looking away in slight shame. Both you and him opened them over the box you were sitting on. You brought yours closer to his and clinked them together.
"Apology acepted King" You said before drinking down.
"How'sa bout we have 'nother match later?" Dave asked after a while.
