(Hehe Blight simp hehe)

You slowly felt your heart pump harder and harder in your chest. That classic instict whispered in your ear 'you should hide'.
And so you left your generator and hid behind a nearby rock.
Your heart was pumping in your ears as you felt the killer aproach. You also heard a struggling survivor, soon being roughly thrown on a meat hook, just behind the rock you camped at.
The person yelled out really loudly. The killer you were against, the Blight, was really agressive whenever he found out you were in the trial.
Feng Min always barked at you because of it. She thought you and that thing had something planned together.
Obviously a lie and only a dumb theory.

The creature was of interesting looks. A broken, outstretched jaw, just hanging by mere flesh as orange fluid oozed out of it.
He had a hunchback, with some kind of bubbly tumor festering on his back. One of the Blights arms was longer than the other, with the freaky addition of six fingers.
The Blight did interest you, but you defenetly didn't want to be his friend.

The person on the hook quietly whimpered as the Blight grabbed onto their foot.
It hroared out something that sounded like a question, but it was impossible to understand. The Blight always made sounds very close to a grey duck tape being rolled out. Execpt add his horrible growls and ugly spitting.
"Leave me alone!" The person on the hook yelled, kicking around with their free foot.
You recognized the voice for Feng Min. You're gonna have to save her as soon as the Blight leaves or you'll never hear the end of it.
The Blight sadisticaly pulled on her leg, letting the meat hook brush against her collarbone and letting her squeal from pain.
"I said stop ugly!" She kicked around again, hitting his pink cheek succesfuly.
"WHEEERE?!" The murderer pulled on her foot again, yelling out some actualy hearable words. Well... word.
"I don't know leave me!" Feng yelled back at him, as if in an argument. Seemed like he wanted someone's location...
God- sure hope it's not yours.

The Blight pulled on her leg again, making her squeal in pain.
You couldn't take your teammate being hurt anymore. You jumped from behind the rock, clapping your hands to get his attention.
"Hey! Ugly! I'm here!" You trotted back a little, to get a head start on him.
But he... didn't chase. He saw you, he knew you were there, but he just stared at you.
He slowly let go of Min's leg, letting it clank against the hook.
He gulped down some of the yellow spit and slowly grabbed onto his walking cane.

Talbot pushed the cane to his chest, feeling his overgrown, yellow-soaked heart pound faster in his chest and his pale cheeks go hot.
He... he was into you.
You were the only thing he understood straight. Everything else was a hate haze.
Something that made him feel sane. Like you were clear in a foggy world.
At first he wanted you only to feel sane and normal again, but soon that feeling overcame and he relized he just wanted you for himself...
To look at you while you sit at his work table, writing something down, to look at you while you're out on a walk with him.
Talbot would be lying if he'd say he didn't dream and plan of a relationship with you.

"Hello?" You tugged the Blight out of his staring. He let out some weird sounds, close to words. You straightened up a little, furrowing your eyebrows.
He seemed stunned.
"Stop your lovey dovey date and help me!" Feng yelled on the hook, wiggling around.
The Blight snapped to her and back to you.
Maybe... maybe if he'd show some mercy, you'd... you'd like him a bit more. The agressive, infected side of his, was tearing his skull apart, telling him to stop doing what he's doing.
He limped aside, taking a quick gaze at Min, and then at you, while still clutching his crooked cane close to his chest.
You breathed in, aproaching the hook, while still keeping your eyes on him.

Talbot's head twitched nervously, he'd never expect he'd get this close to you. Even if it was... a few meters.
His eyes were just fixated on you, as you slipped Feng off the hook.

"Finnaly... let's get away from the creep before he unfreezes" Feng hugged you, holding you as support.
"Yeah... let's" You said quietly. You never saw a killer behave this way.
You kept your gaze still on the Blight as you moved away, behind a mossy wall, where you sped up.

As soon as you got lost from Talbot's vision, he freaked out.
He should've done something, should've said something.
He grabbed the cane and hit his head on it. God damn it-
The last generator sounded out in the distance. You were defenetly at the gate already.
Talbot sighed, the serum oozing from his mouth. His eyes suddenly lit up. There was still a chance.
He took the serum from his robe's pocket and stabbed himself in the neck, as usual.
He felt his eyes water under, his vision fastened and his body started twitching. Talbot turned to the side, running towards the gate, pushing himself from anything sturdy enough, getting more speed.

He hit the entrance wall of the exit gate, stoping to finaly catch his breath. When raising his head, he saw several survivors disapearing in the distance, but you stood by.
When he finaly caught his breath, he limped closer, still keeping the safe distance.
You were just about to step back and run, when his raised hand and gurgle stopped you.
You still faced the exit, not wanting to get caught in trouble.
The Blight set his walking cane down, barely keeping on his legs afterwards.
He kept one arm extended to you, and the other one reached inside his robe.
He carefuly took something out.
Something very shiny.
You leaned over to see, he moved it closer to you, taking a couple of weak steps towards you. He burried his head in his shoulders as he showed you the item, his eyes shining as you looked at it.

It was a flower.
But unlike any you've seen before.
It was large, very well over both of his hands, and it was shining.
It's veins shined a beautiful golden color over the orange petals, as the black inside of the flower oozed with dry blight serum.
Big black spikes of various sizes grew around the middle of the flower, looking like claws.

The Blight bid you to take it, lifting his hands up a bit more, as his legs shook.
You laid your hands carefuly under his, he laid his old, scaly hands on your smooth one's and let the flower gently fall into your hands.
Butterflies fluttered in his stomach when he felt the warmness of your hands.
He clumsily bent over for his cane, letting it do it's use.
You stared at the flower in amazement, the orange shine reflecting on your face. Truly a look that made Talbot's legs weaker.
You lift your eyes from the flower, to look at the dreaming killer.
"Why?" You simply asked, seeing the killer snap out of it again.
He gulped down some of the yellow ooze, griping his cane nervously.
He didn't want to speak.
He knew his speech was disgusting and noone could understand it.

"It's okay, you don't have to tell me anything" Yous said, reassuringly.
You actualy didn't force him into anything. Talbot felt even better.
"Thank you though. It's... really pretty. Can I keep it?" You asked, holding the flower a little closer.
Talbot nodded numerous times, letting you know it's a gift.
"Thank you, I'll take care of it" You smiled at him, before taking a few steps out of the gate, leaving the Blight alone.

Just when you turned around and left, Talbot relized he should've said something. Instead, he stood there, cheeks redder than usual. He picked up his cane and hit himself over the head again.
Stupid!
