Rain. Damn rain.
So much of it has fallen around the Entity's realm. You were all hiding under various clothing, or makeshift huts, just so you could hide from the infernal rain.
It was raining for several days now.
Or at least it felt like it. Time wasn't exactly a thing anymore in the Entity's realm. For now you were enjoying it. Finaly being able to clean your blood-covered face was a relief.
It didn't feel like real rain though.
It felt... off.
Liars rain.
It didn't feel cleansing and light, like real rain did. This... bad impersonation of rain felt heavy, black.
Just fake.
You waited until enough of it had fallen into your hands, washing your dirt filled face with it.
A loud crack of thunder hit from above, in the sky, lightning brightening up what could be seen through the trees and dark clouds.
You didn't want to see what was above the clouds.
Mere flashes of... it... in the light was enough."I litteraly don't get how you can just stand out there." A pissy voice said.
You rubbed your eyes clean of the sky water, looking down.
Under a pretty shitty, makeshift shelter sat Nancy.
A poor, grumpy lass that dropped in with the Demogorgon and Steve "Hair" Harrington.
Nice guy.
She was always stressed out, and not satisfied with much.
I mean who would be in the entity's realm?
But it felt like she never smiled in her entire life.
You got to terms with the place, but Nancy refused to.
She had a stupidly strong fighting spirit. You wouldn't even guess it on first look."I don't mind it. It cleans!" You smiled at her, heavy water going down your, already soaked, hair.
"Yeah no. I'd rather-" Another thunder loudly cracked across the sky, shutting Nancy up.
She shut her eyes uncomfortably, waiting for the sound to end.
"I'd rather it stop raining. At least for a minute. It's been what? Three days?" She started picking at the situation, somewhat in an open question.
"What wouldn't I give to get pulled into a trial right now..." She murmured, looking up, at her blue "roof".
It was a simple large piece of covering plastic. The thing construction workers use on buildings, so the thing doesn't wet down.
She proceeded to punch it, as to get the caught water above her head out. It made a splash loud enough to create a puddle. You noticed that she was almost as wet as you, who was standing outside under the biggest rain.
"You... want me to fix that roof up for you?" You asked with an offering smile.
She glared daggers at you.
"Do what you want..." She murmured, looking at the campfire that was far too away from her little hideout.
You unfolded the covering plastic, making a small tent for Nancy on the inside.
Much better than whatever she had going on."There ya go!" You quickly hoped around the tent-like hut, making sure water wouldn't drip though anywhere.
After taking a quick look, and checking if the water really didn't drip through anywhere, Nancy proceeded to actualy thank you.
"Thanks..." She quietly murmured.
Without a word, you strode towards the campfire. Noone would mind if you borrowed a few sticks. You quickly yet carefuly carried the fire through the rain, throwing it close to Nancy's tent.
She was curled up, her head resting on her knees.
You quickly slumped next to her, bumping into her by an accident.
She quickly changed her position to appear more relaxed.
It raised a question.
"You alright?" You asked, cocking an eyebrow.
"Yeah I'm fine. Thanks for the tent again" She dismissed, not making eye contact with you.
Another loud crack of thunder hit, making Nancy twitch and stiffen.
"C'mon, I don't wanna play the questioning game, tell me what's wrong" You nudged her with your elbow. She sighed looking athe sky.
Then looked at you.
"Promise you won't laugh" She said rather quietly."Well, I promise!" You lift your hand up in a scout-like promise.
She sighed, looking at the sky.
"I'm scared of storms." She looked back down to the campfire, feeling as awkward as it was humanly possible.
Was that really it?
"Why so?" You asked with a smile.
"It's loud..." She murmured, stretching her shaky hands towards the fire, warming them up.
Must've been really nerved out."That's fine. Sometimes when big storms come along I get scared too" You admitted.
Nancy finaly looked at you.
"It's loud yeah" You nodded, looking at the dark sky.
"But it's kinda nice at the same time. The thunder is so bright and the rumbling is exiting. You never know how loud it can get" You dreamed a bit, looking into the fire.
"Yeah. That's the problem." Nancy growled.
"Don't worry. This storm is slowly distancing by now. We'll be fine. Up until it leaves, I can hang around!" You smiled at her.
After a while of silence, she agreed.
"Okay... stay. Please." Nancy murmured, shifting closer to you.848 words
