(This one is a longer chapter!)
"Aye, (Y/n), Clau wanted a chat wit' 'cha" David laid his big hand on your shoulder, shaking with you a little.
"Yep, thanks for telling" You looked up at his fire covered face, smiling.Trials have been harsh lately. Even though you managed to escape or die, you'd still be left with a couple of wounds. Sometimes small, sometimes large. That never happened, the Entity made sure of that.
You and your fellow survivors simply had to make do with basic med-kits and Claudette's botany knowledge.
Speaking of the girl, you saw her wave at you from behind the fire. She was just fixing Ace's cut stomach, who made everything far too dramatic.
"(Y/n) I've got a favor I need done..." She started, wrapping a lot of bandage around Ace.
"Everyone is in a bad shape right now, and I need some more herbs from the forest. You're basicaly the only one able now..." She said, having pure concern in her eyes, before she turned to Quentin who was laying on the ground. She gently lift the grey hat from his eyes, to see if he was still alive. Thankfully he was just asleep.
"Don't worry Clau, I'll get what'cha need. What is it?" You smiled at her.
"Ginger. I need ginger. Surprisingly enough it grows by the stream and beyond. Ginger reduces nausea and some of us could use it..." Claudette said, pushing her fallen glasses back up on her nose.
"Alright, got'cha! I'll bring back as much as I can" You smiled, before walking away, into the dark forest. The horrible silence filled the air again. It was so foggy, dark and silent, you promised you could hear your own blood coursing through your veins. As you walked around the terrifying forests, your footsteps hardly making any noise, you finnaly heard it. You sharply turned your head right, seeing a small stream of water. You smiled. It always felt like a very comforting, calm place. You looked around, not seeing a whole lotta ginger on this side. Howerver... on the other side...
The other side belonged to the killers. The savage creatures that hunted you for their own exitement and for Entity's lunch. It was bad business going there. It was at your own risk. If a killer happens to be walking by, and sees you on their side, they are free to kill you all they want and the Entity won't stop them. The only option there, is to run to your side. The killer can of course enter, but is watched closely by the always hungry Entity. You sighed, getting up from the ground, stuffing one small ginger into your pocket. You hungrily looked at the other side, seeing a whole bunch of them. Killers had no use for theese plants and herbs...
You sighed once again, and carefuly steped across the stream. You imidiately crouched down and started hauling ginger into your pockets. As you franticaly looked around, for any killers, you saw... something quite unexpected. A door.
A clean, wooden door standing in the middle of the woods.
You set down some of the ginger and got up, walking slowly to the door. Is this some new killer's ability? Is this a foul trick of the nauseating fog? You didn't know.
However, you stood braverly in front of the door, walking around it a few times. The edges were made from dark wood and the actual inside was a little oak lighter. The handle seemed old, and rather unused. What was strange, besides a door in the woods, was the symbol on the door. It seemed to be an eye. A wide open eye.
This door led to absolutely nowhere but you still had the need to open it.
You looked down to the golden handle and imagined it calling for you. The door wanted to be opened.
You sighed, grabbing onto the handle and pushing the door open.
To your surprise, there was a room on the inside.
You leaned to the other side, to find the door empty. Just a doorway.
You leaned back seeing the room again. You held your breath and entered. As soon as you crossed the treshold, your body shivered agressively. You let out your breath, feeling... warm. The aura of this place felt much more comforting than the scary forest outside. You looked behind yourself, into the forest. Near the door, on the wall was a sighn.
"Please close the doors behind you"
You of course had manners. You shut the door behind you, the eye on it glowing a quick blue as if to sygnify it had been closed.
