(I'm hooked and I'm bleedin'! 🎺)

The damn chainsaw weilding retard was acting so agressive today.

Everytime he'd miss with his chainsaw, and hit a tree or a rock, he would yell out like crazy, thrashing around himself.
Even upon a rather hurtful impact with one of the heavy palletes.
It seemed like he was in pain...
It felt like you should hep him, even though you were a small, weak survivor and he was a merciless killer.
But it just felt right...

If you wanted to help him, you had to know what was up first.
Right now, was a good chance actualy. Just two more generators to finnish and Dwight with Yui were a good mechanic team.
You knew the Hillbilly was busy with chasing someone at the moment, and so it would be the best time to get a closer look.
You, for the first time, followed your heartbeat, instead of going away from it. It was at that time, when your heart was painfully beating in your chest, almost jumping out, that Ash ran out the corner, being followed by the agressive Hillbilly.
You sadly didn't get a very good look at the situation... you can safely say that the killer's back is okay though.
Well... what can be considered an actual back... and okay...
You followed the two across the entirety of the farm, trying to see what was up. Ash noticed you several times, yelling at you to eighter be productive or hide. You weren't gonna do shit, you wanted to know the mistery of the chainsaw maniac.

Finnaly, after such a long time of following and hiding, you saw it.
You saw the reason why the beast was so hurtful and agressive today.
A fishing hook, was stuck in the killers cheek. It seemed to be going straight through and into the inside of his mouth. How he got it in was a mistery for you though.
You were just hiding in the killershack's locker when you saw Ash run in, and throw the pallet down. It hit the killer over his head, making him scream and you wince.
The killer laid his hands on the pallet, bent over and yelled at Ash with his bubbly voice.
"Sorry ugly, can't understand ya" Ash hoped a little on place getting ready to run again.
The killer broke the pallet and waited for the male surivor to run. Which he did.
The Hillbilly stayed put though. He let go of his slaughter hammer, letting it fall to the floor. His hand wad slowly brought up to his cheek. He grabbed onto the fish hook, and started pulling a little. Almost instantly he shouted in pain as he pulled.
You couldn't see that happen.
"Don't do that!" You bust out of the locker, yelling at the killer.
He imidiately grabbed his hammer from the ground, and started marching towards you, making you think that maybe, this wasn't a good idea.
The killer raised his weapon above his head, ready to break your bones with the painfull hit.
"Wait wait wait WAIT!!" You screamed loudly, setting your arms above your head for novice protection.

The blow never came. When you uncovered your arms, you saw the killer have his hammer just rest on his shoulder, watching you carefuly explain your sudden scream.
"You're... not gonna do it?" You asked the killer, not really expecting an answer. Not that you got any, just a small, untrustworthy eye squint.
"So... this uh, this'll sound weird but... I want to help you. With that" You explained, pointing to your cheek and then his. He seemed to figure what you wanted, as he grabbed onto his cheek again.
The Hillbilly pushed out a deep groan that could be hardly translated to a simple 'why?'
"Why? Um... I um... I don't like seeing people in pain..." You admitted, raising your shoulders in nervousness.

Person? This little survivor thought that Max was a person.
It was such a long time since he heard someone call him a person.
Usualy he got called an ugly, a freak, a beast... a mistake...
But a person... it had a nice ring...
And this specific survivor who said that, wanted to help Max.
They wanted to help Max from his pain...

The killer silently watched you get up.
"So... I'm just gonna... walk over there. I'm a little smaller than you are, heh" You smiled at the killer as you walked past him. You stood up, on a box that was next to the doorway.
You motioned for the killer to come over.
"Don't worry, I don't bite!" You grinned, getting some kind of expression from the killer.
His mouth was just always stuck open into an O shape, with his eyes being mostly dead and empty. But this time, at least his eyes seemed to hold an expression. You weren't sure what kind though...
The killer limped over, standing rather close to you. He still had his weapons in his hands, so you just guessed that he'll go after you as soon as you help him.
You gently brought one hand to his healthy cheek. He twitched a little at the sudden touch. His yellow-ish skin was pretty rough. Almost like a lizard or a snake.
You very carefuly grabed onto the hook, imidiately feeling a push on your other hand.
The killer had dropped his weapon and gripped onto your wrist. He was probably really afraid.
"I'll try to be careful okay? I'm gonna take a look first" You reassured him, proceeding to look into his mouth. His teeth were a little crooked at the front and the hook was truly inside.
"This isn't gonna work... I can't pull it out, I'll have to push it through" You said to him.
Maybe you shouldn't say that, he pushed himself away, shaking his head rather violently.
"Please, I get rid of it and it won't hurt! If it stays there it'll get worse!" You whined, really wanting to help him.

After a while of reassuring, you finnaly got to grab him again. Although one of his arms was wrapped around your lower back and the other was holding your wrist.
You pushed onto the hook, imidiately feeling the Hillbily squeeze your hand and back, closer to himself. It took a bit of hand squeezing and growling but you finnaly managed to push it through. As soon as it did, the Hillbilly spit the darn thing out onto the wooden ground. He growled with agression and picked up his hammer. At first you thought he was gonna use it on you, but he ended up smashing it into the hook, making the wooden floor under crack.
He then turned slowly to you.
Now he'll use the hammer.
You ended up being mistaken though. The killer grabbed onto your shirt, pulling you down from the box and crashing into his chest. He held you pushed into himself like that for a while. You could hear the rumbling in his chest, and also his... his heartbeat.
It was ever so quiet. Almost as if it wasn't there.
The Hillbilly let out a rather quiet groan. He wasn't exactly sure how to show thanks. He just did what he saw two people do in his television, back in the days when he had it...

You soon got pushed away from him. He left his hand on your shoulder, looking down at you.
"You're welcome I suppose-"
You wanted to finnish the sentence but you were cut off by the howl on the last generator getting finnished. The Hillbilly let go of you, putting the head of his hammer onto your chest, pushing you away.
"Yeah... guess it's time to go..." You chuckled, walking backwards.
"But um, you'll see me again, we need to do something with that hole in the cheek" You smiled before you actualy left.

The Hillbilly stood in the killershack, gently touching his healthy cheek, where your hand was laid...
