Some hours had passed, now nearing the time Katsuki was supposed to come to your room to take you out to lunch. You felt the small butterflies floating around in your stomach at the thought of it, never did you think about him going through with this but it was something that made you warm and giddy on the inside.

A faint knock on your door had snapped you out of your thoughts, grabbing your bag and making your way to the door, opening up to meet his red eyes staring down at you nervously.

"Uh, you ready?" He stumbled on his words, making you laugh a little under your breath as you fully stepped out of your dorm room and locked the door behind you.

The both of you had walk down to the lobby, not even passing by the group of students in the large room where the tv sat because you knew it would make Katsuki uneasy and more nervous.

You knew he wasn't a big fan of letting people see his emotions or see his true feelings underneath the mask of rage and anger he puts on. You knew you needed to ease him into it, slowly dip his toe in first then bring the rest of his body in shortly so he's used to the feeling.

As the both of you got to the small restaurant and got seated at a booth, this is where he started to feel the emotions kick in and the nerves beating his heart in as it pounded at the sight of you all while you stared down at the menu before you.

"Y/N." He spoke up, making your eyes flicker up to meet his as he took a deep breath.

"You okay?"

"Yeah yeah, I'm just thinking about a lot. About everything I've put you through." He admitted, his hand nervously tugging at the roots of his blonde hair.

"Katsuki.." You didn't really want to talk about the subject nor about the past, it was over it and it was thrown behind you like some pieces of trash.

You hated to hold a grudge over him, even though his actions hurt you in many different ways. It made you feel useless and unwanted, like you couldn't be loved by him the way you wanted to but you knew how he was. Deep down he was just a scared boy that didn't know how to express himself.

You understood that, you accepted it and you learned to live with it as bad as it sounds. Maybe because you knew Katsuki is soft and could change up his ways if he met someone worth changing for and you somewhat hoped it would be you.

"No, I just wanted to speak about it so it can never happen again. I really hate myself for it, I think about it a lot when I'm alone in my room and I hate how I treated you just because of how scared I was to  admit my feelings for you. I'm still scared to admit them but I'm trying." He didn't expect himself to go on such a rant about it but it happened and he was glad he was able to get it off his chest.

You, on the other hand, was speechless at first. You've heard it before, the apologies but the look on his face convinced you it meant every word of it. That he does beat himself up over it, that he does hate himself for what he did and that he truly is sorry and that he wants to change.

"I want to take you out on a proper date before classes start back up. Tomorrow even, just let me make it up to you." The word date and tomorrow had triggered a memory of Shoto asking you out on one that was scheduled for tomorrow.

Your heart began to pound in your chest, everything you've been wanting to hear is being said and now your mood had suddenly died from the remembrance of Todoroki but you couldn't let it bother you. You would always pick Katsuki over him and all three of you knew that but deep down he was scared he would lose you to Icyhot. It really bothered him to think about such a disgusting thought, that's why he couldn't risk losing you.

"Yeah.. yeah a date would be nice." You nodded your head, agreeing with him but in the back of your head you were cursing to yourself about even saying yes to Shoto knowing your heart stood right in front of you at this table.

"Good, I don't want to fuck it up again. Afraid the next time I do, you'll be gone for good."

"You should keep that mindset then, might help you with your feelings and stuff."

"I agree."

The both of you had sat in a comfortable silence, Bakugou felt relief being able to express himself in ways only you could truly understand. He felt good to be able to talk through issues that have kept happening, only because of him and his rage.

But the constant thoughts of Todoroki taking you out on that date the other day just didn't sit right with him. It bothered him to the core, it made him angry, it made him insanely jealous and possessive over you.

That's why he knew he had to shape up, at least just to keep you around and interested in him. He couldn't lose to Todoroki, that would for sure send him off the deep end into something he knew he probably wouldn't be able to get out of.

As his eyes moved up to your face as you ate your food, he could feel all the emotions when it came to you. The sight of your face gave him some sort of relief, some sort of comfort because he knew with you beside him, he'll be able to do anything.

The only person he cared about was you and he cared about your opinion of him. He cared about the way you viewed him and he cared about your feelings towards him. That's the only thing he cared about, he couldn't give a shit what anyone else thought of him but he cared what you thought of him.

As the both of you finished off your food and started the walk back to the campus, he fought himself repeatedly in his mind about being more affectionate in public.

The slight soft brushes of your hands hitting each other as you two walked had made him think deeply about it. He looked down at your hand many times before sucking in a breath and grabbing onto it gently.

Your eyes shot up to meet his, the surprise grab had almost startled you but once your fingers had intertwine with one another, fitting together perfectly like a puzzle piece, it made you feel special.

And even though his nerves were hitting him like a train while walking towards the dorms building, he kept his hand in yours, a stepping stone to show his devotion for you even if that meant their classmates would see and most of them did when you both stepped inside.

It was like everyone's eyes instantly turned towards the both of you, making you uneasy and the silence was deadly.

"Finally!" Ashido shouted, making your eyes glare at her and she quickly shut her mouth.

"Honestly, took you guys long enough." Denki muttered under his breath.

"So did everyone fucking know about this?" Katsuki yelled, becoming frustrated already at his idiotic classmates.

"Pretty much."
