You both had walked along the campus, everything was almost destroyed and broken up or on fire. It was a lot to handle about being the one behind all of this even if you weren't causing trouble now or did all the destruction, you still were at fault here. When you had managed to bring the lava down around the school and cover it up by pushing the ground back together, it had given a lot of the police officers an opportunity to come in and help out too.
But one officer had looked at you, recognized your face and it wasn't long till you were pinned to the ground face first, the hard cement scratching along your cheek as they put you in handcuffs.
"Get the fuck off of her! She's not to blame for this!" Bakugou started screaming at everyone as they dragged you up on your feet and even though his body was well overworked, he had still tried to fight the officers off of you.
A few more had to come to pin him down to the ground as well, putting the handcuffs around his wrist to calm him down and keep him in place but it didn't stop him from shouting and screaming at everyone around him.
"You fucking idiots, the real villain is still in there!" The officer had shoved his face deeper into the hard ground, making the wounds on his face open back up in seconds.
"Katsuki, relax. It's okay." You met eyes with him as you were seated on the sidewalk, hands behind your back and you gave him a pained smile but he was still furious.
You couldn't blame the officers for wanting to be more safe than sorry, they didn't know you were being controlled nor did they have any proof of that so instead they arrested you on the spot to make sure you weren't going anywhere.
They had seated Bakugou beside you as he mumbled curse words under his breath and called everyone pathetic and so on. You looked over, nudging him gently with your elbow and moved to look up at the school.
The smoke rising to the sky and soon enough, more pros had came back and same with some students once things started to get more under control. Some officers were whispering about how most of the league of villains had gotten away again and that had made you a bit uneasy, knowing Tomura would probably come back for you again.
"Y/N?" You heard a voice, glancing up and meeting eyes with Aizawa and the way your heart had stopped beating, panic filling your body.
"You have a whole lot of explaining to do.. seriously." He said again, the annoyed look on his face had made a nervous laugh escape your lips and he moved his eyes to look at Bakugou beside you.
"Why am I not surprised that you're in handcuffs too? Should I even ask?"
"No." Bakugou mumbled under his breath, rolling his eyes as he turned his attention away and avoided eye contact with the teacher standing above them.
An officer had came, yanking you up on your feet and it had felt like he had tighten the cuffs around your wrist, causing pain to shoot through your arm and you winced quietly.
They had mentioned about you could explain everything at the station as they dragged you to the patrol car. They had kept Bakugou in place and even took the handcuffs off of him once he was calm but as he watched you get put in the backseat of the car, he couldn't help but feel angry again.
He didn't want you to be on your own, especially if Shigaraki was still free and probably angry about the fact you were no longer under his grasp.
The ride to the station was awfully quiet, the nerves kicking in once you had got there and put in a room on your own where they finally took the handcuffs off and left you alone for some time before bringing someone in to question you.
And it had taken hours.
Long hours of them getting the chip from Bakugou, of them hearing everything they needed to hear before feeling okay with letting you go. Of course your father was on a mission in a different city far from here so you were pretty much on your own again.
The sadness filling your heart knowing nobody would be here waiting for you until you had walked outside of the station to see the familiar angry blonde sitting on the bench with bandages covering his wounds.
He had waited there for what seemed like forever. He hated to admit that he felt off leaving you in there and he would hate himself for you to come out of the station alone and have no one to take you home so he waited and waited and waited, refusing any medical aid from recovery girl and only agreeing to cleaning his wounds.
As you stood there staring at him, almost in a daze as your heart started to flutter and your eyes began to water. You couldn't help the emotions spilling out, the amount of pain you were in for weeks, the suffering, the loneliness and the fact that Bakugou had never given up on you and stood out here waiting in the middle of the night, it had made you a lot more grateful.
Once his eyes had suddenly turned, meeting with yours- the reality of the situation had hit you and when he stood up from the bench, you rushed down the steps by the entrance and embraced him in a hug.
He was caught off guard for a small second but it wasn't long before his arms were tightly secured around your waist and hugged onto you- afraid of letting go and having you swept away again.
"Why are you out here in the cold waiting for me?" You asked, your chin rested on his shoulder and he scoffed under his breath.
"Who said I was waiting for you?" He said sarcastically, making a small smile appear on your lips.
"So you weren't?"
"Shut up, dumb ass."
It had grown quiet for a few minutes, the both of you still hugging one another before he had pulled back to look over at your current state. He could tell how tired and drained you were, how much you had endured not only today but for over a week.
"The dorms are closed but.. I'll walk you home." He offered, making you nod your head and the both of you started to make the journey to your home.
It was quiet most of the time, the both of you enjoying the silence and the sounds of the peaceful night and soft winds brushing through the leaves. However, you couldn't shake off the fear you were having about the villains and what their next plan for you was.
So when you had made it to your house, standing outside of it and realizing just how big it was and how empty it'll be. It made you slowly panic and overthink it.
"Can you stay? Please.." You said quietly, turning to look back at him as you unlocked the front door and opened it up to a dark home.
"Um," He started to say, not really knowing if he should stay or go back home to calm down his worrying mother that had been screaming at him through the phone all day.
But when he looked at you, the worry behind your eyes and he started to slowly remember the fact that you were alone and none of the villains were caught.
"You don't have to.. I just don't want to be alone, Katsuki."
"No, it's okay. I'll stay with you."
