A week has passed by and it's been nothing but training for you, the training after class continued and it had sharpened your skills a ton.Every night Bakugou has been in your bed or you were in his just so both of you could have a long night of peaceful sleeping but as of recently, he's been trying to avoid you.
He would ignore the knocking on his door but then he had decided to stay out of the dorms until you were fast asleep in your room.
It had made you worry, did you do something to push him away? You hated to admit that you considered him a really good friend of yours, someone who you really felt comfortable with.
You really hated the fact that you had slight feelings for him. You couldn't help it, the more he would lay beside you, keeping the gap between you two wide but was always there to listen to you rant until you fall asleep.
The fact he was open enough to even let you sleep in his bed so you didn't have anymore nightmares— that's like asking to catch feelings for him.
But you bottled them up, you knew how he was and plus it wasn't much of a big deal, it's not like you were in love with him, just a small crush.
As you sat up in your room late one night, your eyes looking out the window instead of studying for the upcoming exams in a few weeks.
You noticed two shadows in the dark, looking down and tried to squint your eyes to see Izuku and Bakugou, both of them looking tense.
You didn't want to overthink it but it was odd they were both out late together? Past curfew? You shook the thoughts out of your head, looking down at the book in front of you and sucked in a deep breath.
After reading barely a few words, loud explosions were heard from the distance and your eyes shot up to the window, seeing the blasts of light from afar- the same direction the two guys went to.
You got up, sliding on your shoes and quickly went down to the exit after running down the long flight of stairs. The explosions got worse and it was starting to have you worried as you practically ran down the street.
Once your eyes met with both Midoriya and Bakugou, you froze in your spot as the both of them were fighting each other. The blood covering both of their faces while screaming at each other.
You didn't know what to do. What can you do? The fight was brutal, would it even be a safe option to get in the middle?
But as Bakugou lunged at Midoriya and he used a flick of his finger to send Bakugou flying across the sky. You had decided it was enough.
"I'm going to kill you, Deku!" He screamed, bottling up the explosion quirk in his hand well beyond its limit and you ran over to stand right in front of him.
When his eyes met yours, it didn't phase him, instead it made him more angry and he tried to go around you but you stayed put.
"You're going to wake the teachers! Then what? Expelled? Both of you need to relax." You yelled at the both of them, using part of your Earth quirk to bring up chunks of the street to separate the both of them while staying in front of Bakugou.
"Mind your fucking business, Y/N. This doesn't concern you." He was cold, he was angry and seeing you kind of fueled it more.
He's been avoiding you for many different reasons, he hated himself for avoiding you but then he hated himself for not avoiding you. So it was very difficult for him to even calm himself or his thoughts or his temper. He was on overcharge basically.
As All Might walked up, making all three of you freeze and finally Bakugou had grunted and stormed off back to the dorms.
You were quick to rush after him, making him roll his eyes, the anger lingering over him.
"Just leave me alone. Leave it be." He said, putting his hand up to gesture you off but you knew him a lot better than he thinks and you know he needed someone.
"No." You simply said, following him up to his dorm and when he tried to close the door on you, you barged in and it made him just as irritated.
"You've been avoiding me for the last few days, what's your problem, Katsuki?" You walked inside of his room and went to the small sink to wet a towel.
You gestured him to sit down and he hesitated before doing so. He was deep into his thoughts again, remembering why he was avoiding you and it had made him grunt.
You sat in front of him, wiping the blood off his face and he scrunched up his nose, trying to look anywhere else but you, his eyes trained on the wall and he sighed under his breath.
"I wasn't avoiding you.. I mean I was but.. you wouldn't get it."
"Try me."
He sat there, looking down when you started to wipe the blood off his knuckles and he kinda remained quiet. He didn't know what to really say or how to word it so instead he had changed the subject as to why he was fighting with Midoriya and even told you the big secret of how he got his quirk, even though he was told not to say anything.
But deep down he had trusted you enough to not say a word, plus you were willing to listen to his pointless problems and still sit there and give him some advice or comfort.
You didn't forget though, the fact he changed the subject and didn't want to speak up about it. You watched him lay in his bed and look up at the ceiling with his hands rested behind his head.
He had gestured you to lay beside him and you laid at the edge while he stayed closer to the wall but you both were facing each other and he took a deep breath.
He didn't want to admit why he was avoiding you, it was such a stupid reason but the small hint of feelings he had for you lingered there and he wanted to get rid of them and he's been trying ever since he's been running away from you.
"Are you going to tell me why you were avoiding me?" It was like you read his thoughts and his red eyes had looked into yours, not knowing what to really say.
"Just my own personal reasonings."
"Why can't I know? Do you not want to say that it's my fault?" You admitted and he quickly shook his head.
"Not your fault, it's me."
"What do you mean?"
He stayed quiet again, half of his face squished against the pillow and it was like he was frozen. He shrugged his shoulders, the tension in the air growing thicker- thick enough to choke on. But you both stared at each other in silence and it felt somewhat comforting and peaceful.
The thoughts of you remained in the back of his head, making his hands sweat a bit and he tried to concentrate on not letting his quirk get set off in front of you.
He suddenly scooted closer, his eyes flickering down to your lips and back up to you. He hated himself for feeling some type of way and he hated himself for thinking about your lips right now but he couldn't help it.
It was like gravity was pulling you two closer together and he felt like he was being pushed as his face grew closer, inches away from yours and your heart started to pound inside your chest.
You felt his nose brush against yours, tilting your head and you could feel him suck in another breath, hesitating to close the gap.
"Too scared?" You mumbled, teasing him as a small smile came across your face.
"Tch, you wish."
"Then do it."
"You would like that, wouldn't you?" His voice was low and deep, making your knees grow weak as his red eyes searched through yours, the stupid smirk on his face made you roll your eyes.
"I think you would like that."
"Don't flatter yourself."
