"Attention, everyone."

Everyone in the briefing room stopped their conversations and looked up to Captain Holt, who was standing on his podium. "There have been 4 crimes completed within the last 48 hours." Captain Holt announced. A few people gasped in shock.

"I will be assigning each of the cases to each pair, which I will be choosing. Although there will be one group of Three." He explained. Everyone in the room groaned in annoyance, upset that they didn't get to choose partners.

"Detective Y/N and Ian, you'll be taking case #1, which was a murder on 6th street." Captain Holt instructed. You and Ian glanced at each other quickly and nervously, then back at Holt. Charles looked at the both of you and smirked excitedly.

"Detective Peralta and Boyle, You'll be taking case #2, which is another murder two blocks away from the precinct." Holt informed Jake and Charles. The both of them did their little secret handshake, grinning.

"Sergeant Jeffords and Detective Diaz, you'll be taking Case #3 which is a bank robbery that occurred a block away from us." Holt informed Terry and Rosa. They nodded, acting like their chill and professional selves.

"Detective Collins and Langston, you'll be taking Case #4, which is a drug case." Holt informed Jayden and Arthur. They both nodded at Captain Holt in response.

"If you need any assistance with your case, don't be afraid to ask me or any of your other colleagues." Holt announced to everyone, looking at each detective in the room, earning a nod from each of them. "Dismissed." He said, grabbing his things and leaving the briefing room. Everyone else began leaving the room with their things, getting ready to begin their day.

You and Ian secretly went into the records room.

"So.." You said, fiddling with your fingers. "So..." Ian replied nervously. "We need to talk about what.. This is." You said, pointing between yourself and Ian. "Well, what do you want us to be?.." Ian asked, leaning against the shelf he stood next to. "I was going to ask you the same thing." You replied, also leaning against the shelf. Ian sighed, "Well if you were to ask me, then I wouldn't mind if we y'know.. got together." He said, shrugging a bit.

You cracked a small smile, "I wouldn't mind that either". Ian smiled back at you fondly. "So I guess this is the start of our relationship?" He asked, looking down at you. You nodded in response, "Yeah. Also, do you want to start off light and breezy or?.." You asked.

"Whatever you're comfortable with." Ian shrugged. "Alright then. We should probably keep this a secret though." You suggested. Ian nodded, "Again. Whatever you're comfortable with." He smiled. You smiled even more and walked over to him.

You and Ian then shared a soft kiss. You hesitantly wrapped your arms around his neck as he placed his hands on your waist gently. You both pulled away after a few seconds, staring into each other's eyes. "Y'know what, we should probably start working on the case." You pointed out quickly letting go of him. Ian nodded in response,

"Yup."

"Y/N/N?"

You looked up from your notepad and walked over to Ian.

"What if there were multiple murderers?" Ian suggested, looking at you. You tilted your head, "What makes you think that?" You looked back at him. "Well if one person stabbed the victim then these scars would be a lot messier. The 3 scars on this victim are a lot more separated, like there were multiple knives used." Ian pointed out, kneeling next to the body.

You sighed, "I don't know. It could've been one person using multiple knives." You shrugged, "But it's a good theory though." You smiled at Ian. He smiled back at you fondly. You glanced around the room and saw a shine from behind the shelf.

You walked over to the shelf and saw about 3 knives hidden behind it. "It looks like you're probably right, Ian." You said to Ian, making him turn to you. "Just found 3 bloody knives behind this shelf." You pointed out. Ian grinned and stood up. You went over to him as one of the people in a hazmat suit grabbed the knives from their hiding place.

"You probably got us another lead. Great job, babe." Your eyes widened as you said the last sentence. You looked away as blush creeped onto your face. Ian tilted his head and smirked, "Did you just call me babe?" He asked quietly. "N-No.." You stuttered.

Ian chuckled, "It's alright. I think it's kinda cute. Especially when you do that thing whenever you're embarrassed." He said quietly and grinned. You blushed even more, "Shut up" You mumbled, crossing your arms and looking away from him. Ian chuckled and patted your head gently.

"Do you have any other leads?"

Ian shook his head in response. "Oh come on, this is like the 1000th time we've rewatched the surveillance footage!" You groaned, leaning back on Ian's couch. "Well, you did insist on rewatching them." Ian pointed out. You shrugged, "True." You sighed.

You and Ian rewatched the footage one last time, looking out for any details that you might've missed. You squinted your eyes, looking at every area that was shot in the footage. Then, out of nowhere, you spotted something odd. You paused the footage.

"Is that guy CSI?" You asked, pointing at the mysterious footage. Ian looked at the person and his eyes widened. He grabbed his laptop and did a bit of research. After a minute or two, he found some evidence. "No, I'm pretty sure he isn't." He looked at you.

You smiled, "We have a lead!" You cheered. You got up from the couch and started skipping around Ian's apartment happily. Ian chuckled and shook his head, knowing it probably didn't have much to do with the case. He was just happy to see you happy really. Seeing you skipping around like you just achieved something really really amazing was one of the most adorable things Ian has ever seen.

You then returned to the couch and hugged him.

"How come this case doesn't feel... complete?"

Ian shrugged, "I don't know... But what makes you think that?" He asked and looked at you. "I feel like there's more to this. But I don't know what it is." You crossed your arms. You stood next to Ian as you looked at all of the leads on the board.

"Well I bet we're going to figure it out." Ian grinned. You looked back at him and smiled. The both of you looked back at the board, darting your eyes between each of the information that you gathered. You sighed,

"Hopefully we figure this out.."
