Chapter 12 - Feminine charm

*Technoblade's POV*

We got to the door and once we were let in I instantly started looking for Travis. We walked through all the people and went to a corner of the room.

"Do you see him?" I asked, Cordelia shook her head while still looking around. We continued to look around but couldn't see him.

"We should go somewhere else, maybe we just can't see him from where we are," I suggested and Cordelia nodded before we walked off. We walked next to one another and kept our eyes looking around.

My eyes caught onto a guy who was looking our way. He was sitting at a table and was looking at Cordelia. He wasn't Travis but there was something off about him.

I looked at the man more closely and from what I could tell he was checking out Cordelia. As we walked closer to him he kept his eyes locked on Cordelia.

(A/N: Sorry I don't really know how to write this without it sounding weird, so this is going to sound weird)

When we walked past him, out of the corner of my eye I saw him lift up his hand to smack Cordelia, so I reacted quickly. I grabbed his wrist stopping him. He looked up at me with fear in his eyes.

Cordelia turned around and looked at me. "I wouldn't do that if I were you," I said, grinding my teeth and tightening my grip around his wrist. He nodded in fear and I let go of his wrist.

"Thank you," Cory said.

"Yeah," I said. I wrapped my arm around her back and placed my hand on her waist.

"H-hey, what are you doing?" She asked, looking up at me.

"Just go with it okay, it will stop creepy men like him," I said gesturing back at the guy sitting at the table.

"Oh okay," She said and we walked through the crowd. I kept my arm around her waist as we walked and then I saw him. Stopping Cordelia, I nodded over to Travis who was sitting at a table by himself.

We walked over to the side and I let go of Cordelia. "Okay, I can see his keys, look," I said pointing over to him. Around his waist there was a belt that had the keys hooked on.

"Yeah, I see them. How are we going to get them?" She said looking up at me.

"I can pick pockets quite well, but the problem is that there are a bunch of guards around," I said looking at all the bodyguards standing near him.

"I'm going to go and try to get the keys," I said, starting to walk over to him, but something grabbed my arm. I turned around and Cordelia was stopping me.

"What are you crazy? That will not work, we need a plan. You could never pull that off," she said. I shook her off my arm.

"Oh yeah? Watch me," I said, going up to him. I walked around trying to get close but there were too many bodyguards. I grunted before going back to Cordelia in the corner.

"'WAtcH mE!' Great plan genius," Cordelia said as I walked up to her. I growled at her.

"And I guess you have a better idea!" I said and she smirked.

"Yes actually," She said, taking her hair out of her bun and it falling down her back. She held up a pair of keys and walked off to Travis.

I moved closer so I could hear what she was doing and I saw her walk up to him and sit next to him.

"Hey~ I saw you over here looking all alone. A pretty face like you shouldn't be alone~" Cordelia said, stocking one finger down his chest. I scrunched up my nose in disgust and gagged a little.

"Mhm you're a beautiful specimen aren't you," Travis said wrapping his arm around her waist and Cordelia did a weird giggle.

"Wow, you're so muscular!" She said holding his arm. This is never going to work.

Cordelia got up and sat down on Travis's lap and giggled. Travis kept his hand on her waist and had a smile on his face that I wanted to smack off.

What Cordelia did next made my blood boil. Cordelia lent down and kissed him. My teeth grind at the sight of this and I don't know why. Travis put his hands on her waist and pulled her closer. I saw Cordelia's hand go down and grab the keys and switch them with the keys she showed me before.

She pulled away and smiled. "I'm going to get you a drink~" She said hopping up. Travis watched as she walked away and once she was out of sight he turned away.

Cordelia looked behind her to make sure that he wasn't watching her and she gestured to me as she walked through a door. I made my way over to the door. She just went though and before I went though I looked around to make sure no one was watching.

When I walked through the door she stood there holding out the keys cockily. I snatched them from her and said, "What were you thinking!? That was reckless!"

"No it wasn't. I got the keys didn't I? Trust me I didn't want to kiss him, I had to so he was distracted. I just did what you couldn't. I used my ✨feminine charm✨ that's why you need me here," She said flipping her hair.

My blood was still boiling but I calmed down and I started to walk down the hall. Cordelia walked next to me and we didn't talk. "Look there's Travis's room, the safe is inside. Come on, let's go," Cordelia said.

We walked up to the door but then I heard something and pulled Cordelia away from the door and pushed us up against a wall, "Shh someones coming," I said and we listened to the voices.

"I don't see the point of walking these halls, it's not like anyone is going to do anything," The first voice said.

"Yeah, we could be out there partying but no boss told us to patrol, ugh," the second voice said.

"Guards are coming," I whispered, "We need to hide."

"Where genius!" Cordelia whisper shouted. I looked around but there was nowhere to hide. Shit. The footsteps got closer and we had nowhere to hide.

A/N: Hehe cliffhanger! I don't normally like cliffhangers but I wanted to do this. Trust me you guys are going to go insane with the next chapter. Eeeeeeeeeeee!
