Chapter 27 - The royal library Pt 2

*Third Person POV*

The events of last knight were something that Techno and Cordelia silently agreed not to speak of. When they woke up it was very awkward, but Techno was nice enough not to make fun of Cordelia's embarrassment. Which surprised her.

Cordelia couldn't seem to think straight. Her mind was racing about what could have happened with Techno. She had already decided it was not any normal panic attack, if it even was one.

She had never seen him act like that and it somehow scared her. Was she admitting she was worried for him? Pft- no. Her dignity wouldn't allow it, so she blamed it on her worry for her family. She worried that he might hurt them in that state of mind considering that he said 'didn't want to hurt her'. So she blamed her stress on her worry for family and not him, when deep down it was both.

To clear her head she decided to do what she loved most. (Techno) Read.

Making her way to the library, Cordelia passed a pair of in denial young lovers. Tommy and Leanna. They were hanging in the garden and Cordelia saw them through the window.

Cordelia left the two, shaking her head giggling. Her smile soon disappeared when her brain went back to Techno. It was really starting to bother her, but there was no way she was going to confront him!

Walking into the library she was watching where she was going a proceed to walk into someone.

(I think we can all guess who that is....)

It was Claire!

"Oh- Hello Cory!" Claire said, holding a book.

"Hey Claire! Good to see you! What brings you to the library?" Cordelia asked, with a soft smile.

"Oh you know, just to return a book I borrowed, and I just got this new one out. I've read it before but it's just one of my favourite books," Claire said holding up the book.

"Narnia, I love that series!" Cordelia said, reading the title.

"Yeah, my favourite has gotta be 'The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe', I love all of them but this one's my favourite!" Claire replied, happily hugging the book to her chest.

"So what's my soon to be sister in law doing in the royal library?" Claire asked, smirking.

"Well I was comi- wait sister in law?"

"Oh well you know," Claire looked at her nails with a small smirk, "me and Wilbur are a thing and Techno being his brother and all, and you guys seem to make a good pair~" Claire said, winking at Cordelia as she understood what she meant.

"WhAT! Me and Te?- pft- no- Nev- Never." Cordelia said, sternly and Claire laughed.

"Okay!" Claire said walking out of the library but before the door closed Cordelia heard her say, "make sure I'm a bridesmaid at your wedding!!"

Cordelia was redder then a tomato as she walked further into the library. When she finally got a book from the shelf, she walked round a corner to sit down at one of the tables but instead was met with what felt like a brick wall.

"Wow- what the?-" Cordelia said, stumbling backwards, almost dropping her book. A hand wrapped around her wrist stopping her from falling backwards and pulled her back up.

"You really need to be more careful," a monotone voice came from the 'brick wall'. Cordelia could recognise that voice anywhere.

"Techno- what-" She said, confused before collecting herself, "I could say the same."

Techno just stared blankly into her eyes before moving her out of the way and walking down the aisle of books. Cordelia was confused by this, normally he would say a snarky remark back but today..... Nothing.

Cordelia couldn't help but notice he looked a little off, she couldn't explain it other than just... off.

Brushing off that weird encounter, Cordelia went and sat down to begin reading her book. But soon that was ruined by a certain pinkett sitting down across from her.

"You know it's like every time I come here you have to be here well," Cordelia said, narrowing her eyes at him and he didn't even look at her.

"Well, actually I'm here all the time when you're not here so it wouldn't be normal for you to find me not here," techno replied not even looking up from his book.

And this specifically annoyed Cordelia, because she found it REALLY attractive. With flushed cheeks Cordelia looked down and tried to continue reading.

Cordelia, finally relaxed into her book and in doing so tucked a small strand of hair behind her ear. And what she didn't know was that a certain pinkett was watching her at that very moment. Like Cordelia, Techno found this very attractive and also proceeded to find trouble focusing in his book afterwards.

The two of them keep snatching glances at each other while reading the entire time and sometimes would lock eyes only to look away in embarrassment. It was painful for the flies to watch as they buzzed around.

Cordelia kept telling herself that she looks at him because he looks off and not because she finds him attractive but we all know that's a lie. But the truth was that something was wrong with Techno. But Cordelia didn't know that.
