Chapter 28 - Sick

This Chapter is ironic because I tested positive for covid on Wednesday

*Cordelia's POV*

After reading for an hour of reading, painful reading might I add, Techno was first to stand up. He seemed to stumble slightly when getting up and I raised an eyebrow to this. The almighty blood god stumbling?

He walked away a little before stumbling again and catching himself on a nearby bookshelf. At this I stood up. "Techno?"

Was it happening again?

He didn't respond, so I got up and walked over to him. I placed my hand on his shoulder gently and he turned around. He looked.... Tired? No more.... Spacey....

"Techno, are you al-" I was cut off by him falling on me, not fully, but still fell. I caught him and he lent my shoulder.

"Hey, what's going on with you?"

Suddenly, in one swift movement, I was pinned against a bookshelf. I stared at Techno in shock and he looked at me with drowsy eyes. I couldn't really explain it.

"Wha-"

"You're cute, you know," Techno interrupted me. My face went bright red at this and my eyes widened.

"Techno, what is up with y-"

I stopped again when he dropped his head, leaning forward slightly so his head was on my shoulder. His head rested on my right shoulder, with his left hand still pinned to my right. His other hand dropped down and rested on my waist.

His right hand slinked round my waist pulling me into his chest and my red face just got redder, which I didn't think would be possible. His head just rested in the crook of my neck, his right arm wrapped tightly around my waist, his left hand resting on the bookcase behind us.

I felt safe in his embrace but this wasn't normal so I pushed myself away.... Well tried anyway. After failing at trying to escape his grip I decided to speak up.

"Techno?" I said, in a small voice, "Are you okay? Can you let go of me please?" I asked, gently.

"I don't want to," He said, and even though it shouldn't have, it made my heart melt for some reason.

"Please Techno?" I asked again, hoping he would let go and lucky he did.... Sort of...

He lent back so I could see his face but he still had his arm around me and one arm pinned on the book case.

Claire's voice rang in the back of my mind, "you guys seem to make a good pair~" I pushed it down and focused back on Techno.

He looked flushed, and his eyes were very droopy. He had some sweat on his forehead and he was breathing heavily. I reached my hand up to feel his forehead.

"Jez Techno! You're burning up!" I said, looking at him worried. He seemed to spaced out to comprehend what I said.

"Hey Techno? I'm gonna take you to the physician alright?" I said softly.

"No, no got to Phil!" He seemed panicked.

"Okay, don't worry. We'll go to Phil," I said, reassuring him.

"Wait. let's just..." He wrapped his other arm around my waist and buried his head into the crook of my neck again, "stay like this for a little bit."

It was so cute how he became affectionate when he got sick, but I couldn't help but wonder why he wanted to go to Phil and not the physician. Maybe he wanted to tell Phil he was sick? No that doesn't sound right... It really isn't any of my business but my curiosity is killing me.

Zoning back into the situation I was in a blush crept onto my face again. Techno muscular arms kept me secure in his grasp and I could feel his breath on my collarbone. It tickled slightly but it was comforting.

After a little while I finally decided we had to leave. "Alright Techno, time to go see Phil," I said, patting his back. He unwrapped his arms from around my waist and drew his head back from the crook of my neck but his hands still rested on my hips.

"Come on," I said, taking one off his arms and draping it around my shoulder so he could walk properly. We made our way to the throne room as Techno said he would properly be in there working.

I soon saw the doors to the throne room and sighed in relief. This man is heavy, even though there isn't an ounce of fat on him. He's just pure muscle!

Soon, Phil will tell me what's wrong with Techno.

A/N: I got Covid! Fun times :D

I'm on day 5 now so i'm feeling slightly better, the day after I posted my last chapter I tested positive 😀

But I'm fine, just like a cold really, I am double vaxxed after all.

I wanted to upload sooner but I got covid so I didn't really feel like writing....
