Stalker | Jemi

Episode 18

Demi had a long talk with Jayden and Isaac about running away from her, she knew it wasn't really Isaac's fault but they both needed to know how serious it was and what they should do if they were ever separated from her at any point. She was just thankful Joe brought them back each time they  ran off but she hoped he wouldn't have to again. They both gave her a hug before Demi switched the TV back on so they could continue watching what they were before she entered the room, she kissed both of their heads before making her way into the kitchen where she knew Selena would be. She was sat at the counter having a cup of coffee waiting for her best friend.

"Isaac home?" She guessed being able to hear voices coming from the living room and not just two but three voices.

"Yep, Joe brought him home again. I wonder why they end up finding them. It's strange." Demi commented taking a sip of her own coffee as she sat down next to her.

"It is a bit strange, why did he run away?" Selena questioned.

"He said something about stopping to stroke a cat then when he looked up we were gone. He went back to the park but obviously before or after we went back there. I'm just glad that they are both home safe, I'm getting protective over them. I can feel it." Demi admits.

"You're a mother, mothers are protective. I think I should just go home so you can spend some time with them, Monday will be around again soon and they'll be at school while you're at work."  She stated supping the rest of her coffee before standing up.

"It's fine Sel, we have all tomorrow." Demi demanded but Selena shook her head.

"I'm going, I'll call later on. Just have fun okay?" Demi couldn't help but smile as she left the room hearing her say goodbye to the twins before hearing the door open and close. She stood up herself finishing her drink washing both of the mugs before making her way into the living room sitting in-between her boys smiling as they leant on her.

Joe entered his parent's house again after the walk but it didn't change his mood much, he still felt depressed, angry and hurt about what has been happening. He wished he had never met Demi, that he didn't need to take Jayden home that day then maybe his obsession wouldn't have grown worse. He knew it was only going to get worse. He made his way into the living room slumping down on the couch able to hear his mother in the kitchen, his father would still be at work.

"Joe is that you?" He heard but doesn't answer. "Joe?" He heard again but louder, he glanced to the side seeing her in the doorway before his eyes were back on the floor.

"What?" He mumbled.

"Feel better?" She questioned sitting down next to him laying her hand on his thigh knowing her touch would calm him down a little bit.

"No." He murmured.

"I won't send you to a doctor if you don't want to, I just think it will be for the best." She explained going to kiss his cheek but he got up before she got much closer than she was already, her hand fell to the couch but she soon sat up straight.

"Would you stop going on about a doctor?!" He exclaimed running his fingers through his hair, he could feel his rage getting worse but he couldn't help it. His mom was the last person he wanted to lash out with but again he couldn't help it.

"Joe I know, just calm down and everything will be okay." She reassured in a calm voice but she didn't even see his expression change.

"I'm done with this, so done!" He roared before leaving the house, Denise's eyes widened slightly following him as he ran down the street. She wasn't as fast as him with her age but he never got far away enough that she couldn't see him.
