Joe was in his bedroom getting ready for a day out, it had been three weeks since Joe took on Jayden and Isaac and three weeks since they left. He had stayed in contact with Dianna and Eddie and spoke to the boys over the phone most nights if not every night, he had even seen them a couple of times when they stayed over his apartment. Today he would be going to a baseball game with Jayden and Isaac, they had told him before that they had never been to one and Joe thought it was terrible that they were seven and haven't been to some form of sports game. They seemed to be huge fans of baseball so promised one weekend he would take them and that weekend was this weekend. He pulled his shirt down over his torso wondering out the room picking up his keys, wallet and phone before heading out of the apartment locking the door behind him.

Joe, Jayden and Isaac waved to Dianna and Eddie as Joe pulled away, he could see already that the boys were excited about what was going to happen today. He had told them already so it wasn't a surprise but Dianna had already told him that they haven't stopped talking about it all week. It was a big deal for a little boy going to his first sports game.

"Now you have to support the Yankees, no other team is good enough alright?" Joe questioned knowing he was brainwashing them into liking a team but it's the team they would be supporting today as it was his favourite team.

"Who are the Yankees?" Jayden questioned.

"New York Yankees, they are only the best team out there. For today you support them but you can change your mind in the future, I don't see why you would though," Joe explained looking in his middle mirror to see Isaac gazing out of the window, he could tell something was wrong, he wasn't his usual bubbly self. "Isaac what's wrong?"

"Nothing." He grumbled Joe sighing slightly wanting to pull over but he knew if he did they would be late for the game and he knew that's something neither of them wanted.

"Come on Isaac tell me what's wrong." Joe encouraged.

"I miss mommy, I made her another card but Gran and Grandpa won't take it over today. They said it's too late but she could wake up in the night then I can't give it to her." He moaned.

"You got the card with you?" Joe inquired Isaac nodding his head holding it up which Joe saw through the middle mirror again.

"I'll take it over." Joe promised making Isaac smile, he was definitely a momma's boy.

"Really?" Isaac questioned.

"Of course, we'll be a little late to the game but I booked seats for us already." Joe explained turning the car around so he was the correct way to be heading towards the hospital. They would probably only miss the first ten minutes or so.

"I think mommy will love all the cards we made!" Jayden exclaims.

Joe wondered through the hospital some flowers and Isaac's card in his hands as instructed by Jayden and Isaac who are staying at the reception desk where the lady could see them. Joe knew Eddie and Dianna still didn't want them seeing Demi, she still looked badly beaten up and still had most of the wires attached to her body. He found the room where the reception lady said Demi would be, he laid his spare hand on the door handle opening the door entering the room. He took in a deep breath when he saw what state she was still in after three weeks, he knew that the car had hit her side but he would never have guessed she'd be this much beaten up. He thought maybe it was good thing that she didn't have any wires attached to her anymore but he could see why Dianna and Eddie didn't want the boys to see her. He opened the card up sticking it on the table at the end of the bed along with her others placing the flowers next to another bunch she had. He stopped at looked towards Demi when she stirred and her eyes opened landing on him.

I'll post again in the morning if I have comments! Ten last night was great so I'd love more than just a couple!
