Episode 48

"That sounds lovely, is it good news?" Dianna inquired wanting to make sure that nothing horrible had happened in the family but Demi was quick to reassure her that everything was okay and that it was only small when in fact it was huge, she just didn't want to give too much away. She hoped that they all understood but if not it wasn't going to stop these twins arriving in just under eight months, Joe and Demi would still raise them but they aren't teenagers anymore. They were responsible adults and were looking forward to meeting their children. 

It was the next day after work and school, Joe and Demi were getting ready for the meal with their parents so they could tell them about the babies growing inside Demi's womb. It would just be the six of them on a table in a restaurant ready to share the news. Selena had offered to watch over Jayden and Isaac while Demi was gone but they were meeting up early and didn't plan to stay out until late because Joe and Demi still had work the next day. 

"You got the pictures?" Joe questioned as he walked downstairs into the hall doing his tie up as he went. Demi nodded her head holding up her handbag. 

"I've said goodbye to the boys so let's go." Demi urged just wanting to get this over with, it would be a huge relief of her shoulders, she knew that much but she was looking forward to telling Jayden and Isaac probably the next day. They didn't need to worry about their reaction, probably more when they have arrived and demanded more attention than them. 

"Okay. Bye boys!" Joe called into the living room smiling when he got a reply. The two of them wondered out the house climbing into Joe's car Joe being the one who set off knowing they had plenty of time to get there. They wanted to be the first ones there. 

They all settled down with their drinks after ordering which would be the best time to tell the news that they had. The whole reason for the dinner in the first place. They just wanted to say it and get it over with knowing the longer they sat down the more they got nervous and the more they thought that they couldn't do this. 

"So basically the news is that Demi is six weeks pregnant with my babies." Joe explained squeezing Demi's hands as he broke the silence sensing that Demi wasn't going to say it however she does say something that Joe missed out. 

"Babies being twins." Demi added in. 

"That's great news guys!" Denise exclaimed knowing that her husband was on the right page with their sons. It would be great news if any of them came to them saying they were starting a family besides Frankie who was still a little young. It didn't matter the situation, they were still their grandchildren no matter how they were made. 

"Congratulations guys." Dianna spoke on behalf of her and her husband.

"But twins really Demi?" Eddie questioned the table laughing getting a small kick under the table by who he sees as his own daughter. He had been there for much longer than her real father and she knew it was the same situation Jayden and Isaac were in with Joe.

"That one is my fault." Joe but in them laughing again. 

"It's about time Joseph!" Denise lectured. "We can all see how happy you are together though, thank you Demi for making him happy and keeping him in line." They all begun talking the parents getting to know each other a little bit more now that there was something that would be keeping them together. They were mainly talking about Joe and Demi when they were younger, stories that amused them and stuck in their memories. Joe and Demi will admit that it was a little embarrassing but at the same time intrigued. Soon enough Joe was back at his apartment ready to spend the night alone Demi back at home just in time to put Jayden and Isaac in bed both of them content that their parents were happy about their little ones.
