Episode 62

Joe lead Jayden and Isaac through the airport ready to get to the hospital. He prayed that his babies were okay and that they hadn't died because of any stress Demi was under but if anything were to happen he wouldn't blame Demi. He would be worried about her if she wasn't worrying herself when Isaac ran off and didn't come back for four days but he knew now more than anything she just wanted to see her babies. To know that they were safe. He was undecided whether to tell her what Jack had done to Jayden but he'd figure that out. Joe made it outside climbing into his car which was still parked over two spots after making sure that Jayden and Isaac were properly buckled in. He climbed into the front himself starting the engine and pulling off. 

"Why didn't mommy come?" Jayden inquired Joe sighing. 

"Mommy is ill at the moment and she had to go to the hospital but she is okay so you don't need to worry about her." Joe explains assuring them that nothing would be happening to Demi. It was rare that pregnancies killed.

"What about the babies, are they okay?" Joe couldn't help but smile, he knew they were going to be great big brothers even now they were concerned about them. He was excited himself to finally be a father after so long of worrying whether he would be. 

"I honestly don't know boys, that's a reason we're going over." 

Joe pulled up at the hospital this time taking in a huge breathe, it had been a long day and was getting to the time of the day where they should really be settling the boys down but he'd do that when they got back home. He just needed to know Demi and his babies were okay. He climbed out the car helping Jayden and Isaac out before they made their way into the hospital. Joe asked where Demi would be before they explored the hospital trying to find out where they should be. 

"Will mommy be here for long?" Isaac questioned. 

"I don't know but I don't think so, if everything goes to plan it will be okay," Joe reassured taking their hands again. Anyone would have thought he was their father. Joe greeted Dianna and Eddie who were happy to see that all of them were safe and unharmed. "I'll explain later, Jay is a bit shaken up." Joe explained letting go of their hands so the Grandparents could give their Grandsons a well needed hug. What they had been through is terrible for seven year olds.

"We will be okay with them, go see Demi she wanted you." Dianna ordered softly Joe taking in a deep breath before entering the room. He was relieved when he saw Demi laid on the bed in a hospital gown, she had one hand on her bump as the other ran down by her side. She looked up from the TV not smiling when he saw him, not until she knew he boys were okay. 

"Are they okay?" Joe questioned as he wondered over laying his hand over hers. 

"They managed to stop the bleeding, both of them are fine but they want to keep me for a couple of days in case anything happens. Please tell me you got there in time." Demi demanded to know but she did smile this time when he leaned down pecking her lips gently. 

"They are both find and outside with your parents, I'll explain what happened when we've all had a bit of rest." Joe explained but that was enough for Demi to settle down. 

"I've never been so scared in my life." Demi mumbled smiling when he laid down on the bed next to her on the side which didn't have any wires. She laid her head on his chest. 

"No need to be scared anymore, all the police officers were certain he'll be in jail for a very long time," Joe kissed her hair. "But I would like to know why you wouldn't let him see the boys when the were born." 

"I'll tell you tomorrow." Demi told him calming down even more when she could hear the steady beat of his heart happy that she knew that all three of them were okay. 

"I love you Demi." Joe expressed for the first time Demi smiling against his chest. 

"I love you too Joe." Demi kissed his chest as it was all she could get to before the room fell silent.
