Episode 23

Joe climbed out of his car bringing his laptop and work with him so he could grade them tonight, he locked his car before making his way into the apartment building and up the two flights of stairs before he reached his floor. He wondered down the corridor stopping at his door about to put his stuff down so he could unlock the door but it opened revealing his girlfriend, he gave her a warm smile before entering his apartment then putting his stuff down in the study where he often spent most of his time grading papers and so on.

"What are you doing here? We're meant to be meeting up in an hour." Joe questioned as he entered the room again smiling when she gave him a peck on the lips then wrapping her arms around his neck as his made their way around her waist.

"I couldn't wait to see you." She replies Joe grinning pressing his lips against hers, Stephanie kissed back deepening it slightly but Joe didn't let it go any further before pulling away leaving her pouting. He couldn't help but laugh.

"I really have to grade some essays so just make yourself at home and I won't be long." Joe demanded softly as he pulled away from her.

"I'll make a start on dinner." She stated pecking his lips before entering the kitchen. Joe smiled making his way into the study slumping on the chair. He will admit he loved teaching but by far the worst part for him was grading papers when he was at home, he tries to get most of it done after school but sometimes there just isn't enough time.

Demi wondered through into the living room after clearing up after dinner to see Jayden and Isaac sat on the couch watching TV. She didn't usually let them watch telly much knowing it was much healthier for them to be outside playing soccer or something but it was raining outside and she didn't want them to catch a cold. A treat every so often was okay.

"What are we watching then?" Demi questioned as she took a seat on the couch next to Isaac who was next to Jayden.

"SpongeBob Squarepants." Jayden replied looking up at her then at the screen.

"What is he up to today?" Demi inquired encouraging them to tell he about what has been happening in the show. They begun telling her about what has happened in the show and what they think is going to happen by the end of the show, Demi thought it was interesting how different of a ending the two of them had. They then continued to watch the end finding out what really happened, it was just like brain game activity.

"I emailed your teacher saying that you will be going on the trip and she suggested that we all sit down and write a couple of sentences about yourself so you can tell the other kids when you go up." Demi explained as she switched the TV off.

"What kind of things about us?" Isaac questioned looking up at his mother.

"Anything you want." Demi answered standing up as did the two boys, they all wondered into the kitchen where they sat down Demi grabbing a piece of paper for them each setting them down in front of them with a pencil so they could rub out any mistakes.

"Mommy my writing is scruffy." Jayden complained.

"This is how you learn, by doing but I'll write it up once you've gone to bed so you can read it out on Friday." Demi promised.

"Can I put that Jayden is my brother?" Isaac asked.

"That' something unique about both of you, not everybody has a twin so go ahead and put it down." Demi encouraged.

"Me using that!" Jayden exclaimed making Demi laugh. She sat at the table helping the two boys out until they were finished. They wrote ten things down each about themselves and Demi couldn't be more proud of them.
