Episode 44

Demi stood up of the toilet seat once the beeper went off. She gripped onto her phone tighter as she wondered over the sink placing her phone on the counter flipping the test around. Her eyes glistened with tears when she saw two very clear pink lines rather than just the one. She was pregnant, she was going to be having a baby by this time next year hopefully with the guy she seemed to be falling more and more for everytime they spent time together. She had never felt more ready to become a parent again, when she found out she was pregnant with Jayden and Isaac it wasn't the best timing with her just starting her job, she didn't regret having them, she just wished she was a little older. She knew this baby would be so loved not just by their parents but by their older brothers as well.

Demi took a couple more tests just to see whether it was right or not but all three said that she was pregnant and she took that as the go ahead that she could begin telling people the first person being the girl sat outside the room waiting for her to come out. She would make sure Joe was the next person to know, she didn't agree with keeping it away from him. Demi grabbed the tests and her phone wondering out of the room Selena standing up as soon as she saw her, by this time Demi had just a couple of tears rolling down her cheeks which would mean both that she was pregnant and that she wasn't.

"So?" Selena questioned smiling when Demi handed her the tests seeing that they were all positive. "Congrats!" She exclaimed hugging her best friend. Demi smiled as they pulled away wiping away her happy tears, she just couldn't wait to tell everyone now including her sons. She knew they would be ecstatic about it, having a little brother or sister to take care of and keep them company. She couldn't help but think of everyone's reaction.

"Thanks, I knew I was, I didn't need to take some test to prove it." Demi admitted sitting on the edge of the bed with Selena.

"When are you going to tell Joe?" Selena inquired.

"I guess as soon as possible, then we can both go to the hospital together so we can confirm everything. Gosh I hope it's not twins again." Selena couldn't help but laugh.

"Joe is a twin." Selena reminded her.

"Either way I need to tell him, I can't keep something like this away from him for long." Demi insisted running her fingers through her hair. She was finding it hard to come to the reality that she was having a baby whether she wanted it or not. She was frightened of Joe's reaction.

Demi took in a deep breath when she heard the front door open and voices following. It had become a habit that Joe would pick the boys up on his way back from work on a Wednesday as they did soccer practice and the timing was just right for them. Joe often then spent the night at Demi's house eating dinner with them then going home just after the boys had gone to bed.

"Hey boys, how was soccer practice?" Demi questioned as the three of them entered the kitchen kissing their heads then pecking Joe's lips.

"It was good!" Jayden exclaimed sitting up at the counter as did Isaac.

"What's wrong?" Joe questioned this time sensing that there was something wrong with Demi, he could tell when she was hiding something.

"Nothing I'm fine, we just have to talk later on," Demi reassured smiling when he kissed her lips again, he couldn't help but feel nervous. "Boys why don't you go take a shower and get cleaned up, were there some nasty tackles going on?"

"No it was just Jayden." Isaac sniggered following his brother out of the room. Demi sighed taking Jayden's place as Joe took Isaac's.

"It's not something bad is it?" Joe inquired Demi shaking her head.

"Just life changing." She breathed cracking a smile when he took her hand.
