Y/n couldn't help but sigh for the 100th time of the day. He let his hands get tangled in his hair as he sat by his desk, stressed - maybe even overstressed - with how much work, drama, and responsibilities he had to take care of.
Once again, it was late at night, the moon was almost at it's peek making it almost midnight. If Y/n were to stay up till 3am he would've successfully stayed up fro 24 hours straight. So, to keep him awake, Y/n have a cup of coffee on his desk.
Y/n had to squint his eyes because of how tired they were at the moment. He had his full concentration on writing neatly so that it would still look professional when it got turned in, and just that alone was draining to him.
There was a soft knock as Y/n's door creaked, it was opened to begin with so that if any characters that needed Y/n's help could just walk in and ask instead of them having to knock loudly and him having to get up from his seat just to open the door that would be closed not a second later.
"Y/n, shouldn't you take a break?" A tired yet deep voice spoke up.
Y/n sighed as he combed a hand through his hair, already knowing who the character was by the sound of their voice, "I'm already behind on paper work, I can't really take a break just yet," He said, his voice raspy.
Erwin furrowed his brows slightly as he looked around the room for a chair so he could sit next to Y/n, "And here I thought that Levi was bad with time management because of his insomnia, but I think you're a little bit worse than him."
Y/n gave an empty chuckle as he placed his hand on the desk, "Just a little bit I guess, but it's not that bad I guess. I've stayed up for 42 hours before on a high school project, I can definitely stay up for 24 hours on some paper work."
Erwin pressed his lips into a thin line out of worry, "But what about your health? Not just your mental health but the lack of sleep will take a tole on your body too, your physical health."
Y/n's small smile dropped a bit as the eye bags were starting to get noticeable, "I'll... I'll think of something when the time comes, but right now I need to work. I just want to get this paper over with so that I can turn it in next week already."
"But that's the thing," Erwin said, "'Next week' isn't until four days from now, you have time, you don't need to cram everything into one day, Y/n."
Y/n kept silent, but he listened carefully to what Erwin had to say to him. He stared at the pen in his hand and the paper under his palm that was half written out.
Erwin placed his hand on Y/n as he softly let Y/n relax and drop the pen on the paper, "You can always start up your work another day, another hour, but right now you need to rest. Take a break, you need it."
Y/n blinked at the softness of Erwin's hand on top of his. He couldn't help but blush a bit as he swiped his hand back making Erwin raise a brow at the sudden action.
"Yeah... Sure, I'll take a break," Y/n muttered, he than took a deep breath, "It's late anyways... It'll... It'll be nice."
Y/n began to struggle to keep his eyes opened as he slowly got up from his seat. But once he stood up his body gave out from under him, making him sway to the side. Erwin was quick to stand up and catch Y/n in time.
"S-Sorry," Y/n whispered, "Just... tired..."
Erwin softly smiled, "Yeah, I know. Let's get you to bed, okay?"
"'Kay..."
Erwin carefully picked Y/n up bridal style as he walked out of the office with Y/n in his arms. He couldn't help but blush as Y/n attempted to fight of his sleepiness. Honestly, he almost couldn't believe that this Y/n was the same Y/n that yelled at the younger cadets for misbehaving.
Erwin laughed to himself silently, making sure not to make Y/n up.
