Startled, Y/n started at the person in front of him. Never in his life would he thought that this person would come up to him and confess to him, it was almost imaginable. But here he was now, apple petals dancing in the air, as the person in front of him was a blushing mess.
"Annie?" Y/n questioned, "W-What...?
Annie had her arms crossed in front of her chest as she looked away. Her brows were furrowed with embarrassment as some light pink dusted her cheeks. Although she was trying her best not to look at Y/n in the eyes, her own eyes kept glancing back at him.
"I love you," Annie said, this time more boldly, "Do I need to repeat myself more? I... I have feelings for you, Y/n. You make me feel unexceptionally happy, even if I don't show it much. I appreciate you, Y/n."
Y/n couldn't help but be shocked, out of everyone, Annie fallen for him? Wasn't he weak compared to her? Wasn't he someone not for her standards? Honestly, Y/n saw himself much lower than Annie in strength and many other things, so he couldn't help but be surprised.
"M-Me?" Y/n stuttered as he messed with the branch from the blossoming apple tree, "But... wouldn't you want some better than you? Someone who's stronger than you? Maybe you would prefer someone who's taller and had more muscle. I-I'm sure that what you have on my is just something that will pass! I-"
"Oh, shut it!" Annie cut off as she walked right up to Y/n, "I love you, and only you. Get that through your brain."
"But you're just- How could you- I- I don't understand! How could someone like you like someone like m-"
Y/n was cut off when a pair of lips met his own. His eyes widened when he released that Annie pulled him in for a kiss by his collar. He could now see the blushing red of Annie's face as he could fee his own blush creeping up from his neck to his cheeks and to the tip of his ears.
The kiss lasted a while, but Annie had to get her point across. How could Y/n be this stubborn? Soon enough she felt Y/n relax and kiss her back, she has never felt this type of joy before. Both held each other close, close enough to feel each other's heartbeats.
Sooner or later, Y/n and Annie pulled away. Half lidded eyes and parted mouths, they both gazed at each other, looking at each other's eyes and taking in their color. Y/n then looked slightly down as his blush worsen.
"Annie..." Y/n whispered.
"Is that not enough to show you how much I love you?" Annie asked carefully as she hugged Y/n close to her, "I don't care if you're not strong, I can always protect you. I don't care if you're not taller or anything like that, I only care about you and you only. You are the person I fell in love with, nothing else."
Y/n's eyes slightly widened as he looked down at Annie, he hesitated slightly, "Are you... telling the truth... to me?"
Annie hugged Y/n tighter, "I wouldn't dream of lying to you in the first place."
Y/n couldn't help but perk up slightly in surprise. He then smiled as he wrapped his own arms around Annie tighter. He gave Annie a light kiss to the head as he caressed her hair with so much love that Annie could feel the warmth from his palms.
"Alright," Y/n said, "I trust you then. I love you too... Annie."
Annie clutched the back of Y/n's shirt, "I love you more... Y/n," She mumbled.
Y/n smiled more as he hummed. He gave Annie one last kiss to the head before going back to hugging her tightly. The two stayed like that for a while, just enjoying each other's presence since they love each other so, so much.
