Y/n couldn't help but feel a pit of worry in his stomach as he stared at the person in front of him for a second longer. His ears must've been playing tricks on him, but they were not. He breathed out softly in shock as he had dropped the apple flower that was in his hand.
"Reiner...?" Y/n said carefully.
Reiner had a small solum look to his face. It was decorated with a blush of red, and he couldn't help it. Hip heart was beating at a million miles per hour, but he managed. He looked tot he side, away from Y/n.
"I-I love you... Y/n," Reiner repeated, more hesitantly this time, "This... This might sound out of the blue, but I really do love you. Your touch is always so soft compared to mine, your voice is always so smoothing, and you're just... so... perfect... I truly can't put it into words."
Y/n let out a small breath he didn't know that he was holding as he smiled comfortingly, "Reiner..."
Reiner, who watched as Y/n stepped closer to him, fiddled with his sleeve, "The way you take care of Gabi and Falco like they are your own makes me think that we can... all be a family... together... Y/n... you are my family, and I want to stay and protect my family as much as I can. I love you, Y/n, so will you please be part of my family...?"
Reiner could feel his blush creep up to the tip of his ears as Y/n smiled so warmly to him. Oh, that smile, Reiner could practically feel the love and appreciation from it. It made his heart feel so warm and fuzzy, he loves it so much.
"Oh, Reiner," Y/n said warmly as he held onto the taller's hand, looking up at him with nothing but love in his eyes, "I would love to be a part of your family. I would love to be a part of your life as your partner. Nothing would make me more happier than being in love with you."
Reiner couldn't help but blush more at Y/n's words. But he smiled. He gave a chuckle as he hugged Y/n tightly. Of course, Y/n laughed a bit and hugged Reiner back, as he was pampered in kisses. After a bit, Y/n and Reiner's laughter died down as they stared at each other lovingly.
"Reiner..." Y/n whispered.
Reiner smiled, "Y/n..."
Reiner glanced down at Y/n's lips as Y/n parted his lips slightly. He glanced back up at Y/n's eyes, as if asking for permission. Y/n smiled, his smile reaching his eyes, as he blushed, nodding slightly. Reiner leaned in as Y/n did the same.
"DAD, REINER!!"
Y/n and Reiner, while still holding each other, pulled away slightly as they both looked to see Gabi running over to them. They weren't going to lie, Gabi startled them a bit. However, the girl just looked up at Y/n and Reiner with stars in her eyes.
Gabi smiled brightly as she lifted her arms in the air, "The school just called just now!" She claimed.
Y/n and Reiner glanced at each other for a moment, then Y/n turned to Gabi with a smile on his face as he picked her up and put her on his hip, "Really?" He said, "What did they say?"
Gabi gave a closed eyed smile as she did a peace sign, like she's seen on TV, "Me and Falco got accepted!! We can finally start school now!!"
"That's wonderful Gabi!" Reiner stated with a smile as he ruffled the girl's hair making her laugh, "We're so proud of you and Falco!"
Y/n laughed as he rubbed his nose against Gabi's, "That's my girl! You better make sure you do good in school, alright? Don't be too harsh on the other kids."
"Yes, Dad! I promise to make you proud!"
As Gabi laughed with pure bliss, Y/n and Reiner glanced at each other for a moment longer. They both smiled warmly at each other. They didn't even need any words to express how happy and in love they were with each other, and Gabi by their side.
Reiner carefully covered Gabi's eyes as he leaned towards Y/n. Gabi was confused but she kept silent for a second. Y/n's eyes slightly widened when Reiner's lips pressed against his. He soon closed his eyes as he kissed back.
Although the kiss was short, it was sweet and filled with love. Reiner pulled away as he and Y/n smiled at one another again. They truly were a family together, and they wouldn't have it any other way.
