Armin peeked out of his room. All the lights were off as everyone was sleeping since it was night. He carefully walked out of his room and closed the door behind him. He quietly went over to the room where Y/n was sleeping at.
Armin listened through the door. He smiled as he heard no noises other than a soft breathing, meaning that Y/n was asleep. He let out a small 'yes' as he carefully walked down the stairs and to the back door.
Armin opened the door leading to the ocean and carefully closed it behind him. He cringed a bit when the door shut, making a slightly loud sound. He froze for a second before hearing nothing and smiling to himself.
"Y/n's always so strict on us," Armin whispered to himself, "If he loosens up a bit around us maybe he would've let us play out in the ocean after dark."
Armin chuckled to himself as he shook his head. He ran to the crashing waves of the ocean as he threw his sandles somewhere where he could pick them up easily. He smiled brightly as he stepped into the salty water once again.
The breeze was cold and strong but that didn't bother Armin as he continued to play in the ocean. Cupping water into his hands and throwing it in the air as it sparkled in the moonlight. It was so pretty and beautiful, Armin wondered why Y/n couldn't let them see this.
Armin let the ocean crash into him, wetting his clothes and hair a bit. He laughed to himself as he continued to play in the ocean. The air around Armin was starting to get a bit colder than normal but he didn't mind it, having too much fun at the moment.
Finally, after an hour or two of playing in the ocean, Armin sighed and walked on the sand, drying himself off with a towel he brough with him. He rubbed his hair as the cold wind hit his body.
Armin smiled as he kept the towel on his head and looked at the moon reflecting off of the ocean. It was so calming and lovely, nothing could mess up this moment for Armin. However, there was rules that Armin needed to get back to.
Armin sniffed as he stood up, putting on his shoes and drying himself one last time. He quickly and quietly jogged over to the back door once again and slowly opened the door. He was then hit with a wave of heat from the heater.
Armin let out a quiet sneeze as he sniffed. He quickly closed the door behind him and went up the stairs to his room. He passed the kitchen when he did, not noticing the two figures that had seen Armin go out and come back in.
Once the sound of Armin's door was heard closed, was when Y/n sighed. He had a cup of (tea/coffee) in his hands as he was in his sleep wear. Y/n had seen Armin go out of the house and play in the ocean.
"What in the world makes him think I would be sleeping at midnight," Y/n whispered, "I sleep at 2am..."
"You're lucky that Erwin sleeps in your room too, Armin really thought he was you," Levi said as he had a cup of black coffee in his hands, standing next to Y/n.
"Dear lord..." Y/n mumbled to himself, "He was sneezing the minute he got in, he definitely has a cold or fever right now..."
Levi glanced at Y/n, "And it's treatable in this world, right?"
Y/n sipped on his drink, "Of course, I have the medications ready already and making soup in the morning wouldn't be too hard."
Levi only hummed. In their world, a simple common cold could put a solider into decommission, or lead to death. Their health system never helps them and if someone was sick, they were to be quarantined until healed or dead.
"I can give him a scolding, a good kick in the gut will teach that brat," Levi stated as he rolled his eyes.
Y/n chuckled lightly as he waved his hand dismissively, "No, it's alright, I already told you that I can handle this myself. Besides, Armin is already sick, he brought this upon himself. That is his punishment."
"Seems like a pretty tame punishment to me."
"Ah well, not all punishments need to involve with yelling or violence... It's just... just not... It's just not right, ya' know?" Y/n said, trailing off a bit.
"YOU'RE SUCH A USELESS CHILD!!"
"DON'T CRY WHEN I HIT YOU!! I BARELY EVEN TOUCHED YOU!!"
"BEQUIET WHEN I HIT YOU!!"
"Why are you crying?!! I'll give you something to cry about!!"
"I am hugging you, don't flinch when I show you affection."
"Y/n?" Levi's voice broke Y/n out of his head, "You dazed out, are you okay?"
Y/n blinked and noticed that Levi put a hand on his shoulder, he smiled at Levi, "Yeah, I'm fine. I guess tiredness is getting to me this night." He chuckled.
Levi slightly furrowed his brows but didn't push Y/n into telling him anything, "Then you better get some sleep than. I'll be going to my room soon, anyways."
"Ah, are you sure? I can stay a bit longer," Y/n asked as he put his empty cup in the sink, planning on washing it later, "I don't want you to be here by yourself."
"Huh?? You think I'm incompetent??"
"Nevermind then, have a good night, Levi, see you in the morning," Y/n laughed a bit as he waved Levi a small, tired, goodbye.
"Go to sleep already, you brat," Levi stated rolling his eyes.
"Whatever you say."
