Y/n stared in shock. In a million years, he would've never thought that the person in front of him would say those words to him out of all people. A blush covered his cheeks as the apple petals danced around him.
"W-What?" Y/n stuttered, "Mikasa, what?"
Mikasa's breath hitched as an uncontrollable blush covered her cheeks. In order to hide her blush, she tried to cover her face with the turtleneck she was wearing. Now that her words were out, her heart just couldn't stop beating so fast.
"I-I love you, Y/n," Mikasa stuttered, "Nothing can describe how much I love you. No actions. No words. My heart keeps racing around you. I can't help myself. I'm sorry, Y/n, but I just love you so much..."
Y/n's brows furrowed in slight worry because of Mikasa's words, but his blush did not calm down, "Mikasa..."
Mikasa closed her eyes as she turned to the side, "I'm sorry! The feeling on my chest won't go away. This thing that's called love hurts so much, I just had to get my words out. I love you so much! Everything you do makes my heart race. Every word you say, every caring touch, I love it all. I really, really, love you, Y/n. I-I-"
"Shhh, Mikasa don't apologize," Y/n said softly as he grabbed Mikasa's hand, making her look at him, "Please don't apologize because of your feelings. There's no need to apologize. Oh, Mikasa... what am I going to do with you..." He chuckled a bit.
Mikasa couldn't help but blush more. Y/n had always been soft with everyone, his caring words and his kind actions were not uncommon. However, whenever those caring words and kind actions are towards Mikasa, she can't help but feel her heart flutter.
"Y/n..." Mikasa whispered out.
Y/n kissed Mikasa on the forehead, "Shh, don't talk anymore. I'm afraid that you'll breakdown. I don't want the person I love and care for to cry right in front of me. I say that there's no need to be sorry because I love you too, Mikasa. So, please, don't cry anymore. I love you. I love you so much. And I'm happy that you confessed to me."
If it was possible, Mikasa blushed more. She knew the feeling of love, but when it's with Y/n, the feeling just felt so overwhelming. Her lips twitched as she could feel the tears bubble up in her eyes. She hugged Y/n, holding him close as she buried her face in Y/n chest. Y/n only chuckled, making Mikasa snuggle closer to him.
"You..." Mikasa said through her sobs, "...have no idea how happy I am..."
"Mikasa," Y/n whispered as he caressed his lover's hair, "...you have no idea how happy I am."
Mikasa couldn't help but laugh as she looked up at Y/n. She pulled away from Y/n chest but still held onto him like he was jewelry. The loving look in Y/n's eyes said everything to Mikasa, and she smiled brighter than ever before.
Seeing Mikasa's smile made Y/n's heart swell in pride and joy. He couldn't help himself as he began to pamper Mikasa with kisses all over her face. Mikasa laughed at Y/n's kisses, happy that she got his affection.
Both Y/n and Miksas laughed with one another as Y/n brought his face a little bit closer to Mikasa's. The laughing died down and now the two were staring at each other's eyes, both filled with so much love.
"I love you, Mikasa," Y/n whispered.
"I love you too, Y/n," Mikasa whispered back, "So, so much."
Y/n smiled as he carefully brought his lips closer to Mikasa's. Mikasa and Y/n both closed their eyes as they enjoyed the kiss they shared with each other. The apple flowers seemed to celebrate as their petals landed in the new couple's hair. They were just so in love.
