❝︎ IT'S NICE TO HAVE SOMEONE CARE FOR YOU WHEN YOU'RE SICK . ❞︎

"Huh? What do you mean?"

Y/n raised a brow, "What do you mean 'what do I mean'?" He asked, a bit confused, as he was holding a tray with warm tea.

"Armin's sick?!" Eren called out in shock, "How??"

"Is he going to be alright?" Mikasa wondered.

"You are going to make him feel better right?" Connie questioned, in a concern tone.

Y/m blinked at the crowd he had attracted when he announced that Armin is sick and will have to stay in a separate room, "Uh, of course? It's just a common fever, nothing that can't be healed with some tea, soup, and medicine. I don't know why you all are so concerned?"

"It's because, in our world, a common fever could almost kill someone," Reiner stated as he clutched his fist.

Berthold nodded with a worried look, "When we were training, most kids had fallen sick. We didn't have good doctors before so a simple cold or fever can take a life."

Sasha was clinging onto Annie with dramatic tears in her eyes. Annie could only pat Sasha awkwardly yet reassuringly. She was slowly getting used to being around others and even was able to make friends with everyone.

Y/n couldn't help but chuckle at everyone's worriedness, "Of course Armin is going to be alright. Although, he won't be able to go outside today since I don't want his cold to get worse. You all have nothing to worry about, I promise.

"I have put Levi, Erwin, and Hange in charge of taking you all to the beach one last time. You can all have your fun today as I will be taking care of Armin. Don't worry about him, I'll make sure he gets rested for tomorrow so that we can all hit the road."

"'Hit the road'?" Krista mumbled to herself, "Oh that's right, we're leaving tomorrow!"

"Yep, today is our last day here," Y/n stated, "So make sure to pack all of your bags tonight so that we can be home by noon tomorrow, alright everyone?"

"Yes!" The crowd cheered as they all disperse to go downstairs.

Y/n shook his head with a small on his face. He was about to go into the room that Armin was in, but his sleeve was tugged back. A bit confused, he turned back and noticed that it was Marco who tugged him back.

Marco looked down with a small blush of embarrassment that he had to get Y/n's attention like a child. He looked anywhere but at Y/n as he couldn't help but feel nervous around him. Y/n took notice of this and made sure to hold in a small laugh.

"Marco?" Y/n said softly, "Is there something you would like to say?"

Marco nodded, hesitantly, "Please... make sure Armin is alright..."

Y/n smiled and reached up to pet Marco's head, "Of course I will. Now, go have fun with the others. I'll be alright."

Marco looked at Y/n with small stars around him. He couldn't help but smile as he nodded happily. He let go of Y/n as he couldn't help but blush at the warmth Y/n had had. He ran down the stairs feeling a bit happier than before.

Y/n shook his head again as he went into Armin's room. His smile dropped as he walked over to the sniffling Armin in the bed, who had a towel on his head to help him with his fever. He let out a small sigh as he placed the tray on the bedside and started to get the tea ready.

"Y-Y/n?" Armin stuttered out with a raspy voice.

"Yes, Armin?" Y/n said simply.

Armin sniffed, "Am I going to be okay?"

Y/n glanced at Armin before turning back to the tea he was setting up, "Yes. You'll be fine."

Armin felt terrible. Not only did he get sick, but he also went to against Y/n, he couldn't help but feel guilty. Y/n had warned him that he will get sick, but he didn't listen, now he has to pay the price for not listening to Y/n.

"Here, sit up," Y/n slightly demanded as he helped Armin to sit up on some pillows.

Armin sniffed and coughed a bit as he sat up. His eyes were puffy from crying to himself and before of the sneezing fits. He eagerly grabbed the tea that Y/n was holding out for him as he took small sips of it.

Letting out a small sigh, Y/n looked at the medication he had for Armin in a plastic bag. He started to snap some pills in half since they will be too much for Armin and so that he could have the other half another time.

As Y/n was setting the medicine up for Armin, Armin was watch Y/n. He couldn't help but feel sadden that Y/n was disappointed in him. It didn't feel nice to have someone you love treat you so coldly.

"Y/n...?" Armin mumbled out as he looked down at his drink.

Y/n only hummed, clearly not wanting to make small talk with Armin. Armin slightly grimaced at this.

"I'm... I'm sorry..."

Y/n looked at Armin through the corner of his eye, "Continue..."

Armin looked down as small tears pricked his eyes, "I'm sorry for sneaking out. I'm sorry for not listening to you when I know I should've. I'm sorry for not taking any of your words to heart. I promise that I will make sure to follow your words next time... So, please, forgive me..."

Y/n blinked for a second but then sighed. He put his hand on top of Armin as he turned to face him, propping his elbow on his knee as he looked into Armin's eyes since he looked up. Tears were already building up in Armin's eyes making them glossy.

"Have you learned your lesson, Armin?"

Armin sniffed as he nodded his head.

Y/n sighed before smiling softly, petting Armin's head with care, "Then I forgive you. You know I just want the best for you and for the others, so I don't want you guys to get hurt even if it is just a small sickness. But can you promise to take my words next time?"

Armin nodded as he shut his eyes, letting tears fall down his cheeks.

"Alright, that's all I need to know," Y/n said softly, "As long as you learned your lesson, then I'm happy. Don't do that again, you hear me? You had the others worried sick for you."

"Y-Yes Y/n," Armin stuttered and sniffed again, "I'm so s-sorry."

"Alright, that's enough apologizing for one day. Now, let's get you all better, yeah?"

Armin nodded, feeling a bit of blush on his cheeks. He didn't know whether it was because of Y/n's kind voice, or it was from the fever, but either way, he felt all warm and fuzzy inside. He felt happy that there was someone out there that will care for him no matter what. He smiled to himself.
