Maura
It had been a week since Adrien's art presentation. I had spent every moment at school trying to catch up due to the amount of times I had skipped class due to Adrien.
He had insisted that he come over and we do school work together, but I knew one thing would lead to another and I would spend the rest of the night doing him rather my doing my homework.
We hadn't spoken of the artwork he had done of me, the drawing that had sparked something inside of me that I so desperately was keeping smothered down.
It was Friday when Jessii came striding over towards Adrien, his green haired friend Westly, Annabelle and I. Every swish of her hips as she walked over to us made my brows rise further in confusion.
She leaned casually against the locker and looked the two boys on either side of me up and down slowly. I could tell they were both as confused as me at her sudden interest in them.
"I'm having a party tonight, do you boys want to come?" She asked, emphasising the boys part, not glancing at me or Annabelle once.
Annabelle and I scoffed silently and waited for the guys responses.
Westly was the first to speak. "Why would we be invited, if I remember you spat at me in ninth grade because I sat next to you." He narrowed his eyes on her.
"I'm inviting nearly the whole year, don't get to flattered." Her gaze was cold as she looked at Westly, but then she turned towards Adrien and her eyes softened slightly.
"So, what about you Adrien?" Jessii asked, I could have sworn she was trying to make her voice sultry.
Adrien glanced at me, at the amusement on my face. "If Maura is coming, than i'll come." He said casually, throwing an arm around my waist. I noted how Jessii's eyes tracked his arm.
"Of course Maura is invited." Jessii said, too sweetly. "And... um... ranga, over here." She added, nodding towards Annabelle who was now trying to hold in a laugh.
Annabelle nodded her head slightly.
"Than we'll be there." Adrien said, shrugging. Jessii gave Adrien an all too causal smile before walking away.
I finally released a snort at her invitation. "Well, this will be interesting."
Adrien murmured his agreement, his eyes narrowed on Jessii as she walked away, his face full of confusion.
Westly cleared his throat. "I'll be careful around her, she likes the taken ones." The green haired friend made a show of looking at Adrien's arm around me.
Adrien's arm only tightened around me. "Well she's out of luck because I wouldn't ever." He promised.
"There's no way in hell i'm going to that party, but good luck out there guys." Westly whistled before walking away.
My chest squeezed a bit. I had been cheated on, of course, plenty of times really. The last 'relationship' I had, ended in me walking in on him in bed with one of my 'friends'. At that point, I was so beyond hurt that I just shrugged and walked away, forgetting about it.
