CHAPTER 10: First Date

I don't know what came over me to kiss her but, I guess it was just overdue.

When we pulled our heads apart, I couldn't stop in how I felt and found myself next coming right out with the first thought in my head.

"Go out with me." I asked.

She looks at me a little bewildered.

"But what about..." She started bringing up what I told her weeks ago, but I didn't care about that anymore. I am too drawn to her.

"I know what I said. But please, I want to go out with you. I can't get you out of my head, no matter the many times I tried to." I confessed.

"You mean it?" She asks me.

"I do. I want us to go out and get to know each other on a personal level and see what happens. I know we should of course though, still keep it professional during work, so that we don't have to have others get in our business or have anything get back to HR. But yes, I want to see where this can go." I tell her not knowing again, in why I told her all of that just now but suddenly feel a huge relief that I did.

"Okay. We can go out and see what happens." She replies.

I can't help but feel real happy to hear her agree to give me a chance.

"Good. So how about tomorrow.night, after work, I pick you up here and we can go to a nice dinner and maybe even a movie? Unless that's too cliche then..." I was stopped as she laughed a little.

"It's a little cliche but I don't mind that at all. Maybe we can afterwards even go walking in the park. I heard the weather shouldn't be too cold tomorrow night." She mentions.

"Alright. It's a date then. Say....seven o' clock?" I suggested.

"I'll be ready." She smiled.

We both said 'goodnight' to one another then I gave her one more kiss before she went inside and when I returned back to my suite at the hotel, I laid in bed for a while and thought about her and where to take her tomorrow.

When I woke up this morning, I had made reservations at first at a nice place and it took me throughout most of the day to think about rather or not she would feel comfortable at a nice fancy place. However, I didn't want to ask her so, I kept the reservations and decided to take her some place different than the movie theaters.

I made sure to try and keep my distance but it truly is hard when I see her and she is wearing that amazing maid outfit that fits her curves just right.

She caught me a few times glancing out the corner of my eye while talking with the Manager.

The moment finally had come hours later when it was time to pick her up and take her on our date.

The second she opened her door and was wearing a nice deep purple strapless dress with a small cardigan and the perfect height heels, along with her make up and well groomed hair, I was speechless.

Sure she always looks beautiful but I never thought she could ever look more beautiful.

"Is this okay for where we're going?" She asks.

"Yeah. You look great." I compliment and kiss her on her lips.

"Thanks. You look great too." She smiles.

We begin heading towards the car then to the restaurant where we were seated almost immediately and waited on right away.

"This place is really nice." She comments.

"I like it. The dim lighting makes it more intimate and I thought would make things a bit romantic." I half smiled nervously.

"It does. And everything here looks delicious that it was hard for me to order. I've never been in a nice of place like this." She chuckles.

"Well I'm glad you like it my" I tell her.

The waitress brought us our meal and refilled our wine glasses while we sat there, sharing some of our food with each other and talking to get to know one another more.

This was nice. I have never had a serious relationship to be honest and wasn't sure in how to even begin one but, thanks to Trevon and what all he had suggested last night to me, I think it might not be so bad.

After finishing up and sharing a dessert together, we next made our way to not a movie but instead to the park.

The night sky was clear, the benches were half taken by others and the tall lamps that lit up the pathways around the park seemed to be just like Trevon told me it would be like.....romantic.

Not to mention the fact that Nina also was right about the weather tonight - it was perfect and not too cold.

I took hold of her hand as we started walking through the park starting at the front entrance to it.

"You know, to be honest, I am glad we didn't go to a movie as part of our first date." She tells me.

"Me too. Eventually I figured that it wasn't a good idea for a first date when we are trying to get to know each other. But hey, I did hear there was going to be a movie coming on Friday that they show near the water and a bunch of food trucks are at." I come right out and suggest, without waiting to see how this date turns out first.

"Good choice." She smiles at me.

I lost all track of time while we walked around and I liked things even more when she eventually looped one of her arms through one of mine.

Looks as though the possibility and chances of there being another date after this one is looking really good.
