NINA
Throughout the next couple of weeks, things have still been going real good and today since Lelan had to make some phone calls during lunch time, I decided to take this time to get my mother a birthday present and send it off within the hour so that she would get it before her birthday this weekend.
I wish I could be there to celebrate it with her but I can't afford to do it as of right now so I have to hurry and grab it.
Luckily I found it yesterday while looking around online and found it available only on store, so I contacted the store and they have it now being held for me to pick it up.
After hurrying to grab it, I headed a few stores down and was able to ship it off just in time - leaving me a little over half an hour to spare to grab a quick bite while on my way back to work, before my lunch break was over.
When grabbing the sandwich and bag of chips and tea, I sat down at a small table.insidr the place next to the window that looked out across the street where the park was and started to eat.
The next thing I knew, I heard a few noises coming from beside me that sounded like someone taking a picture and when I turned my head to see, sure enough, it was a camera person, snapping away at me.
Things haven't been THIS crazy since Lelan and I have been together. Sure of course we have the usual photos taken of us while we are out but never have I had any with just me, so this is weird but whatever, I guess I should expect this to happen rather I am with him or not.
I grab the last half of my sandwich though and rest of my things then begin heading out to walk a couple blocks to get back towards the hotel and noticed there are even more photographers now coming from across the street, to behind me, and practically all around me.
Then a few of them practically got right up in my face almost, making it difficult to even walk and they began to ask me questions about Lelan's and my relationship.
"We're good." I replied.
"Why isn't he having lunch with you today? Did you two get into a fight? Do you think he's cheating on you? Are you guys going to get married? Are pregnant?"
They kept asking some of the questions over again and it was rapidly becoming nearly impossible to answer them so I kept quiet and tried to hide my face until finally I made it past them as soon as I recognized the entrance to the driveway at work and hurried down the driveway towards the back entrance 'Employees only' door and once inside, stood against the closed door thinking about what just happened, while collecting myself.
My god, that was.....I don't even know what to say or how to say in what just happened. A bit annoying but, I guess I can't complain since this is what happens to dating a person like Lelan.
I pulled myself together finally before clocking in to continue out the rest of my shift and put everything that just happened in the back of my mind and not let it get to me so much.
When I was finished with my shift, I got dressed real fast and grabbed my stuff then went to sit at the bar and chat with Lance while waiting for Lelan to meet me.
Walking through the hallways and through the hotel to get to the bar, I noticed people looking at me giving me all sorts of different looks - mostly good ones I guess. Some even had their phones and tablets out to take pictures of me as I again, tried covering up my face.
When I reached the bar, Lance quickly put his phone away when he looked up from it and saw me then smiled.
"Hey gorgeous!" He winks and smiles at me.
"Hey." I replied while taking my normal seat at the end of the bar.
"The usual?" He asked me.
"Please." I laughed a little bit.
When looking around, everybody seemed to have been whispering and some Snickers here and there as they looked at me. I felt like they knew something I didn't (reminds me of back home).
Lance hands me my drink and I ask to see if he can explain the phenomenon.
"What is with everybody?" I ask him.
"You. Sweetie, like it or not, you're famous now. Not to mention the same bullshit gossip that tabloids like to spread." He states.
"What do you mean? What's the latest one?" I chuckled a bit.
"That you were eating a lone at the sandwich place for your lunch and that Lelan wasn't there." He tells me.
"My god, why would that be such a big deal?!" I asked curiously.
"Because it mentions that maybe you and him got into a fight or something since you are both practically seen everywhere together mainly. But don't pay any attention. Because coming from somebody that looooves gossip, I know it isn't true." He laughs along with me too.
Then he takes out his phone and shows me all the things posted already about mine and Lelan's relationship.
Damn, they got things posted already?!? Fucking internet and technology. See, this is one of those times I wish technology and Internet haven't met yet.
Next chapter will be posted soon! :)
