I was furious, to say the least. I wasn't even sure I had any words to say to my uncle and couldn't think of any while on our way over here but then the moment we walked into his place, I suddey had a huge vocabulary and found myself not holding back or caring what the consequences were in talking to him the way I was.
"You ungrateful little shit." My uncle says in reply after I rant.
"Excuse me? You better watch the way you talk to me." I warned him.
"No! It's YOU who better watch the way they're talking to me. I have given you everything you have ever wanted. I put a roof over your head, fed you, and raised you, when I didn't have to do that! I could have given your ass to somebody else! And watching how you are turning out now, not only can I see that you have learned nothing from me, but you have failed me and I know your parents." The final thing he said, threw me over the edge and I suddenly felt myself let go of Nina's hand and stomp my way up close to him, pointing my finger in his face.
"Now you listen to me, you piece of shit! Let me make it perfectly clear to you. I was the one who decided to go to college, NOT you! I am the one trying to save your business because you can't handle it and I am the one who has been entitled to my fucking inheritance that you have been using to uphold your hotel business. So do me a favor, get yourself a fucking lawyer and pray to God that they are better than mine!" I tell him.
Right as I turn to walk back towards Nina to get her out of here, he makes a remark that I make him regret.
"You are nothing without me. And that fucking gold digging bitch will...." Before he could finish that sentence, I punched him hard in the eye, bringing him down to the floor.
"Don't you ever fucking talk about her that way! Don't you ever talk to me, her, her family, or anybody I am ever associated with or so help me, you won't live to regret it! Stay the fuck out of my life!" I lay on on him.
Then right as I go to take hold of Nina's hand to get ready to leave, I turn around after opening the door, looking back at my uncle who is still on the ground and in shock.
"I'll see you in court." Was the last thing I told him and both Nina and I started walking out.
After getting into the car and while taking off, about half way into the drive, I realized that I didn't check to see how Nina was feeling.
When I took a few glances quickly over at her, I noticed she had a look of shock on her face but also a little bit of fear. So I quickly pulled over to a spot where not many people are at and checked on her.
"Baby, I'm sorry you had to go through all of that. I'm sorry for not knowing sooner about my uncle. I just...." I started before she cut me off and reached over, turned my head to face her, then smashed her lips onto mine and we sat there for a few moments, making out. Yet, it was passionate.
When we pulled our heads back to catch our breaths a little, we smiled at each other.
"Thank you for defending me the way you did back there. And I'm sorry you had to do that with your uncle and that you're going to have to take him to court but, I appreciate all you said back there in my defense. No guy has ever defended me like you just did." She explains.
"Baby, I always got your back. That also was something I have actually been wanting to do as well for a very long time and you just helped me do it." I smiled again at her.
She chuckled a bit and then I gave her a quick kiss before we headed back to her place and grabbed some of her things before I decided we should stay in a different hotel for a few days.
We need our alone time and to go over some things tomorrow but for tonight though, we are going to order some room service and not answer our phones or anything.
Although I can not predict the future, I definitely can guarantee that we will get through whatever bullshit comes our way together because never thought I would meet anybody like her and who makes me as happy as she does. Nothing and nobody else matters to me but her.
