LELAN
The entire night was a lot of fun and was more than enjoyable getting to know her friends and to see both Mercedes and Trevon both being interested in each other too.
The best or should I say the most funniest part of the night was when Lance and the waiter were flirting with one another then they exchanged numbers with each other. So I guess the night was more than enjoyable for Lance.
After we finished up, both Trevon and Mercedes wanted to go out while Lance decided he would actually wait for the waiter to get off work and they go for drinks while Nina and I decided to head back towards the hotel and enter from the back end so that people couldn't see us.
I admit it was risky kissing her in front of the hotel but you see, I have a way in making sure that no photographs get taken of either of us and it getting back to my uncle.
Being rich has it's many perks and one of them is to pay off certain people to help make sure you don't make the papers if you don't want to, especially showing things you don't want certain people to see.
Therefore, I have paid off the entire hotel to mind their businesses and never to mention my whereabouts rather I am here or not, for example.
Everybody so far have been holding up their end of the bargain and some have even been easy to bribe with front row seats to certain games that are hard to get.
I planned to tell Nina the few that know but that's one of the main reasons as to why I haven't been taking her anywhere real nice in the city per say to eat or anything, because I haven't paid off everyone and besides, I could use a break from all of that spotlight, not to mention, I am not sure in how Nina would like people in her face asking about me, herself alone, us.
After heading upstairs to the suite, coming in through the back, I could tell that something was on her mind.
"That was a lot of fun tonight." I mention to help break the silence.
"It was. Thank you again." She smiled at me as she threw her arms around my shoulders and I wrapped mine around her waist and we kissed.
"Anything for you." I smiled.
"I was wondering something though. As much as I appreciate everything and am not asking to go to any upscale type fancy places, I am curious as to why we don't go walking around the city some more? I mean, I respect the fact you may want to stay out of the spotlight but, I'm just curious." She shrugged her shoulders a little.
I can tell already what she meant by all of that. So I started walking over towards the sofa and took a seat before starting to tell her.
"You're right for the most part. I like to try and stay private with you for as long as I can because I know how cruel the press and media can be. Sometimes they have destroyed relationships and lives in general. Although I never asked to be in the spotlight as if I were some type of celebrity, I eventually embraced it, after discovering I could never hide from it. But you don't ask for it and I don't want to risk losing you over some bullshit gossip or any of that." I explain. "Not to mention I personally throughout the years have discovered ways of playing the game for being in the public eye."
She is only quiet for a moment before she begins to walk over and sit down beside me, enlacing our fingers together.
"I know what comes with being in a way, practically, famous. I mean, not personally or first hand, but I mean, I am sure it won't be easy. I know there are 'fan girls' that will hate on me and others who will think I am not good enough for you or whatever negative thing they could think of. But you're wrong about not knowing what it's like to be known by so many for just having a relation to someone." She begins.
"What do you mean?" I asked curiously.
"Before I moved here, I lived in a small town where my father owned the only shop of it's kind in the entire state. People from all over would stop by. Then one day I found the courage to tell them I didn't want to take over the family business and we got into a fight, mainly with my father and never looked back. I am used to gossip and bullies from most of my school days." She paused for a second before continuing.
"But I do know that if I ever had suspicions or questions, before I ever assume anything again, I will ALWAYS make sure I talk with you first. Because all that matters is the trust we have within one another and communication is key and as long as we have that and love for one another, I don't think ignorant gossip and stupid photos could ever tear us apart." She says the last parts as we look at each other.
Wow, she just said all that she did and it truly touched me. However, I still can't tell her what some of the reason as to why I was worried in taking her out in public has me concerned.
Now after hearing her just now and the courage she had towards her parents especially, that has me feel a little bit more encouraged into not caring if rather or not it gets back to my Uncle about her and I.
I don't care what he thinks or threatens me with, he would have to accept her!
Next chapter will be posted soon! :)
