Chapter 4 - Who is the worthless now?

"Why not? Once you sign the contract, the company will no longer pursue you for the sixty million dollars. This would be the best for everyone," the vice-chairman anxiously pleaded. The chairman had only given him until noon to get Irene to sign the contract with them.

Irene was now sitting right before him and she was just about to sign the contract, but now-

Irene put the pen down and stared directly at the vice-chairman.

The vice-chairman quickly said, "Just tell me what your requirements are and we will try our best to fulfill your wishes."

"Him." Irene pointed at her agent and said, "I want him to disappear and never step foot in SM Entertainment ever again."

The two men stared awkwardly at one another and the agent was obviously more anxious. "Irene, aren't you asking for too much? I was so good to you."

Good? To think that those words could actually come out of his mouth.

Irene just stared blankly at the vice-chairman and said, "So, can it be done or not?"

"Yes, of course," the vice-chairman quickly replied as he turned around to look at Irene's agent. "You-you are fired!"

The agent stared at Irene in disbelief. He had not expected her to exact revenge upon him.

The agent could not afford to lose his job so he clenched his fists tightly and quickly knelt before Irene.

The agent started begging, "Irene, please-just let me off this time."

Why would she let him off so easily? Irene sneered and turned a blind eye to her former agent. She picked up the pen once again, but she was not willing to sign the contract yet.

"My dear Irene, if you have any other requests, please do not hesitate to let me know."

Irene lifted her head before smiling cunningly like a fox. "Well, why don't you get Jimin to come and apologize to me personally then? After all, she snatched plenty of my job opportunities in the past and even left a scar on my shoulder. I can still remember everything that she did very clearly."

The vice-chairman rested his head against his palm as he listened to Irene's request.

He knew that this woman would not give in so easily and would definitely make some demands at this critical juncture.

"Alright then, I will ask Jimin to come over immediately so can you just stop it already?" The vice chairman's patience was already reaching its limits.

Irene stared at her beautifully manicured nails as she waited for the person to come. The agent was still kneeling down beside her but she ignored his presence entirely.

He was about to forcefully deliver her to CEO Kim's bed, just the night before. Therefore, this was not something that she could forgive so easily.

Jimin was invited into the vice chairman's office twenty minutes later. Jimin was not as glamorous as she usually was and she looked extremely haggard because of the ongoing scandal and exposure in the tabloids.

"Jimin, apologize to Irene now. You should also thank Irene because we will finally be able to resolve this issue if she is willing to help the company." The vice-chairman looked at Jimin and signaled her to act accordingly. After all, he would still give all the job opportunities to Jimin in the future, and they could also deal with Irene in the future once everything cooled down.

"Why should I apologize to her?" Jimin said as she folded her arms across her chest and rolled her eyes at Irene.

Irene did not try to forcefully get an apology but she stood up immediately and said, "Vice-chairman, I think you have to find another way to resolve this issue then."

"I said apologize now, Jimin!" The vice-chairman suddenly yelled. "If you do not apologize today, I will make sure that you are hidden from public. After all, you are making the headlines in all the tabloid news right now."

Jimin was extremely humiliated but she did not want to be cast aside. She apologized very reluctantly. "Sorry."

"Who are you apologizing to?" Irene asked coldly.

"Who do you think you are? If it was not because of Loey's threat, do you think you would even be sitting here right now?" Jimin asked as she glared at Irene. "I would advise you to use your brains before throwing tantrums around here. The job opportunities are all arranged by the company so why are you getting mad at me?"

"Is that what you think? Then let me tell you, you have just lost your only chance to turn this thing around for you." Irene took out her cell phone and then immediately dialed Loey's number before placing the call on loudspeaker. As soon as he answered the call, Irene immediately said, "Loey-"

"Rene?"

"Jimin refuses to apologize to me," Irene acted like a child and started complaining to Loey.

Jimin and the vice-chairman listened to the conversation between them and they were both too shocked to speak.

"Is that so? Don't worry. I still have the video of her making out with the young boy-it is the extended version. I will immediately arrange for-"

As soon as she heard Loey's words, Jimin quickly held onto Irene's arm. "Irene, I was wrong. I am really sorry. Please stop Loey from releasing more videos about me."

Irene laughed as she pushed Jimin's hand away. "So, tell me. Who is the worthless one now?"

"Me-me, I am the worthless one. I beg you, please just get Loey to stop it," Jimin grabbed hold of Irene's arm and she knelt down immediately and pushed Irene's agent to the side as she continued begging for mercy.

"You-what is your relationship with Loey?" The vice-chairman suddenly pointed his finger at Irene and asked as he realized the gravity of the situation.

"Well, you could say that he is my brother," Irene said as she smiled. "Sorry for only telling you now. I can tell you that my brother takes revenge very seriously. He is very upset that you have colluded with Nickhun to set me up."

"No... that is impossible. If Loey was really your brother, why did he release that news about the scandal involving you and the director who was married?" The vice-chairman asked in disbelief.

"That is because I wanted to get out of my engagement to Nickhun. Anyway, my brother has plenty of news on Nickhun and the various artists that he had been sleeping around with. Guess how I am going to repay Nickhun and SM Entertainment for setting me up?" Irene stood up immediately after she had finished speaking.

"No-Irene, please-" The vice-chairman quickly replied as he reached out to grab Irene's hand, but his hand was quickly shoved away by Irene.

Irene waved her hand as she looked around the room filled with people with all sort of expressions displayed on their faces.

"Oh, before I go, let me give you guys a heads up. The news that will be released later in the afternoon will definitely be bigger and more exciting!"

After she had finished speaking, Irene stepped out of the vice-chairman's office and walked haughtily through SM Entertainment. When he saw her leaving, the vice-chairman hurriedly took out his cell phone and started to call Nickhun. When the agent saw what he was doing, he quickly reached out to stop him. "Vice-chairman, don't do it-"

"Get lost."

"Vice-chairman, I advise you to stop contacting the third young master of the Manoban family in the future. If you continue doing that, we would only die more terribly." Irene's former agent said this because he knew that Lisa was the one supporting Irene.

"You have already been fired so get out of my sight now!" The vice-chairman was furious as they had all been played by Irene.

How could he be played by that woman?

"You will really regret it-I am serious." The agent sat down on the floor out of desperation. He could tell that SM Entertainment was about to be destroyed.

Police officers came and sealed the office shortly after Irene left.

The vice-chairman of SM Entertainment was escorted away by the police officers as the employees stood and watched.

The vice-chairman himself was also still in disbelief at the sudden turn of events.

This was ridiculous. This was absolutely unbelievable.

Today marked the happiest day for Irene ever since she entered the entertainment industry.

She could not help but burst out in laughter when she thought of the expression on their faces earlier today. When she thought about how the vice-chairman had been so in shock that he had knitted his brows so tightly together, Irene burst into tears from laughing too hard as she sat down on the sofa.

She suddenly received a phone call from Loey. "Rene, I have just received news that SM Entertainment is now under police investigation."

Irene smiled as she sipped on her glass of red wine. "Who is so kind-hearted to help me take revenge on SM Entertainment?"

Loey remained silent on the other side of the line.

Irene suddenly thought of something and quickly jumped out from her seat. "Brother, I think that Lisa might have something to do with this. When we were talking on the phone last night, she asked me about SM Entertainment."

"What do you mean?"

"I-I am now living in Lisa's villa. He also gave me sixty million dollars," Irene quickly explained.
