"Are you so certain that I do not have any evidence against you?" Irene asked Tae Hee. "If I know about Lee Chang-ae and Choi Dongwoo that would mean that I know more than you think I do about exactly what happened five years ago. I really did not want things to turn out this way because I was taught well and I was educated well growing up, but you are not giving me the chance to be nice to you, Miss Ava. That is why I am seated here today, because this is the only thing that I can do."

"I know that your lawyer has been actively trying to destroy all the evidence linking you to the crime, but I also want you to know that I have more than enough evidence to incriminate you for what you had done in the past. I have not brought out all the evidence because I want to give you one last chance, on account of our relationship as mother and daughter. Mom, just admit that you did it. Just admit it."

"Are you kidding right now, Irene? How many times do you want me to repeat myself? I did not do anything that you are accusing me of doing. I am innocent!" Tae Hee replied immediately. "I will now explain how I obtained the seven billion won to everyone."

After speaking, Tae Hee took out a document and placed it on top of the table. It was the power of attorney that she had forged. She then said, "I went to the United States, intending to borrow some money to repay the debts owed by the Bae family. When I was in the United States, I met an elderly Korean businessman, Mr. Bang Si-hyuk. He subsequently commissioned the seven billion won to me to allow me to invest in HYBE Enterprise. Therefore, the real owner of HYBE Enterprise is not me, but Mr. Bang Si-hyuk. Irene, you have misunderstood me."

Tae Hee placed her hand on the power of attorney before questioning Irene: "This is where I got the seven billion won from. The money did not come from the Bae family, because the Bae family was already bankrupt then!"

Irene was still very calm and there was no change in her expression at all.

"Well, this Mr. Bang that you speak of seems to be a very good person, but what is his relationship with you? Why would he give you such a huge sum of money just so you can start a company with your lover?"

"That is none of your business. This is where the seven billion won came from and this is the document proving that what I had just said is true. The fact is that I have evidence and you have none," Tae Hee immediately defended herself as she replied to Irene's question.

"As a mother, I really do not want to see my daughter taking the wrong path in life, but I can no longer condone this sort of behavior. Irene, I want to disown you as my daughter."

"Is that so? Is the Mr. Bang Si-hyuk that you are speaking of the hotel king?" Irene asked Tae Hee immediately.

"Yes, that is right."

"So, you are saying that you had met up with him and that you have a good relationship with him?" Irene continued questioning Tae Hee.

"Otherwise, how would I have been able to get such strong financial support from him?" Tae Hee replied arrogantly.

Irene did not refute Tae Hee's statement but simply chuckled before she said, "Mr. Bang Si-hyuk died of a stroke fifteen years ago. The hotel king right now is actually his daughter, Bang Min-ah."

Tae Hee was stunned for a moment when she heard what Irene had just said, but she was very quick to defend herself. "I have a very close relationship with his daughter too."

"Is that so? Then, did you know that Bang Min-ah committed suicide seven years ago after an argument with her husband? Miss Ava, I know that your lawyer is trying very hard to help you, but it is better for you if you stop lying so much. I am afraid that if you keep lying, there will be no turning back for you in future. You said that Mr. Bang entrusted the seven billion won to you. So, does that mean that you will return the money to any of his descendants if they were to come and ask you for it? Is that right?"
